Wonderful DR/Nurses

To Dr Elbreki and the paediatric recovery/ outpatient staff.....you all are amazing! My little one had her tonsils and adenoids out today and we were a bit nervous as to how she was going to handle it! First while waiting in the OR waiting area, Dr Elbreki came out himself and visited with our daughter! He then proceeded to carry her into the OR in his arms! She was very content and didn't even look back! Then he took the time to sit with us and explain how wonderful she did....if that wasn't enough he also let us know that he took the time to put her earrings back in (she would not let us remove them before the surgery). Then the recovery nurse came to get us because our little one was whimpering! When I walked in the room she was waiting by her bed holding her hand and quickly encouraged me to pick her up and cuddle her! The nurses in the outpatient floor were amazing.....every single thing she asked for magically appeared in our room! Just wanted to let everyone know what a great group of people we encountered today! You have been spotted:)

Yelling at your kids

Today I was sitting outside my sons school Percy p McCallum, waiting for the bell to ring. A younger mom got out of a black Grand Prix and ran In to grab her kids. She had two beautiful little girls. As she brought them back to the car she was screaming and swearing at them to get in the car and to hurry up and let's go! And when I say screaming I am not exaggerating. Not only did she jump in the car as fast as she could, the two girls had to open the doors to the car get in and shut the doors all while the mom was still screaming from inside to hurry up. One of the little girls was maybe 5-6 and struggled with the door. It amazes me that a parent, who's at least in her late 20s can scream so loud and swear at such a little child. My heart is with those girls today. And really to the crappy parent and whoever the other adult was in the car... If you were in such a hurry you could have helped the kids get in the car instead of jumped in and let them do it theirselves.

More respect needed towards wearing OUR UNFORM

As a proud Canadian citizen and friend's of men who have served as REGULAR force Non Commission Member's I have spotted a problem which needs amending. I have never served for this country, but being a close friend of someone who has, I see the tremendous amount of pride taken in doing so. Needless to say the number of individuals in this city who I have spotted wearing their fatigues, when civilian attire is appropriate is despicable. This is not intended to harp on those who have enlisted as reservists enrolled in the Canadian armed forces but these are the ones who this is directed towards. Please stop being SPOTTED wearing your fatigues in a non duty environment .I have witnessed at 1 am at Caesar's Windsor and strolling the streets of Oullette, intoxicated individuals who are not following protocol. You are not serving this country as you should but the opposite. I don't know if this is to add to an element of your pickup game or to be cool but, to people who take pride in what the uniform stands for (CANADA), it is an embarrassing site. I, as a proud member of this country ask kindly that you follow the orders of the Queen and only wear your uniform when you are entitled. It is disrespectful to myself and even more so for those who have breasted the Canadian flag in battle. This isn't a joke. I have brought this to the attention of many regular force members who serve this country everyday and the disrespect which goes along with these actions is great. I thank every member of the Canadian armed forces for the duties they carry out on a daily basis, and am proud to say this is CANADA.
