Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
On Friday, May 9th, there was an elderly lady crossing Tecumseh Road at Howard Ave. using a walker. She was barely halfway across when the light was about to change. Suddenly, one of the drivers waiting at the intersection jumped out of his car, ran to the lady and helped her the rest of the way across the street and safely onto the sidewalk. Then he ran back to his car and continued on his way as if that was a normal everyday occurrence. What a wonderfully kind and brave man!
Thanks to Jose's Bar and Grill in Windsor, they made our wedding dinner for our daughter PERFECT!! They gave us the entire upstairs to ourselves, set up beautifully with the flowers and candles we brought. The service was AWESOME and the food was out of this world delicious! They made this day more beautiful than i could've imagined!! Thank you to: (I know one of the managers was Brandon), and all of the waiters and waitresses who helped make this day a complete success!!!
I'm a single mom of two wonderful kids with a demanding job in Belle River. My awesome retired neighbour mows my lawn all summer and snowblows my driveway all winter. God love this man. He dosen't realize how much this helps. Without fail I come home from work and it's done. Thank you so much!!
I was at Windsor crossing today doing some shopping. As I was walking back to my vehicle a young man stopped me to ask me a question. He says excuse me, and continues to ask if I can recommend a good store he can go to for ladies clothing. I'm sure he noticed a look I might have made wondering why he wanted woman's clothing. He smiled and said, I know what you might be thinking but it's not for me lol. He pulled out his phone and showed me all the sizes of shoes, shirts, pants and dresses he pulled off the clothes she wears. He says that every year he buys his Mom flowers and a gift card, which she loves. But this year Is a special year. He wants to actually try and put some thought into the gift. He wanted to go buy his mom something she would wear and maybe love. I thought that was so sweet. I recommended a few things and went on my way. I got home and just felt so refreshed. I told my husband the story and he replied " does that mean I have to return the gift card?" LMAO
So to that young boy, I hope she loves what you get her, and I hope it was at least a little entertaining to shop for her.

To the walkers and bikers at the river front.
First , to the bikers, stay off the walking path. It clearly is marked where the bike path is and where the walking path is. It also clearly states that bikes are not permitted near the river walk where the railings are. This is for every one's safety. It isn't just a dumb rule some one made up. If you are biking along and get snagged by a fishing line, you will know it....
Second, to the walkers, be respectful, stay out of the biking lane. Keep you KIDS OUT OF THE BIKING LANE!! At no point is it a safe idea to allow a small child to casually saunter in the bike lane. A lot of that trail is down hill or has turns that are obstructed by bushes so seeing around them is a challenge... I have 3 young children and I can tell you that I have gone over and over where we walk and where the bikers ride. This isn't because I am a grouch, it's for their safety. Yes, bikers should be watching, but so should walkers. It takes minimal force to cause a head injury that can result in brain death or damage. Acting like it's no big deal is giving yourself a false sense of security. You wouldn't let your children play in the street with the cars, why would you allow them in a midst bikes that can hurt them just as easily. Don't forget that it isn't just bikes on that trail. It's bikes, skate boards, roller blades , the art trolly ( which is 2 golf carts put together, imagine getting run over by that), and the maitenance golf cart that goes some well faster then any biker....Use common sense and when that fails you, read the signs. You wouldn't drive on the wrong side of the road and just see what happens... so why ignore the signs else where?
Just wanted to tell you that you're very handsome! We were both waiting for help in the blinds aisle at Lowes wednesday night around 9pm... Anyways, chatting with a great looking guy like you made my night ;)
