To the two teenagers riding bikes and spotted a very very young kitten in an alley. Because the love of animals they stopped and put the kitten in their backpack and brought it home. They asked their parents to help this defensive maybe 6-9 day old kitten full of dirt. This kindness and love truly needs to be recognized. The parents tried to call a vet and Breyanna having babysat making 30.00 offered to go get the kitten KML which is a milk supplement to help nurse this kitten. Receiving a call from a family member who belongs to EARN YA WINGS... (it’s a highly recognized non-profit which team leader MIKE GABOR has educated many in city of trap neuter release help injured sick kitties and cats) a call was made to myself Karen which I offered to help these brave amazing teens that tried to rescue this kitty. I would love to say thanks for having a heart for animals. Their concern was to help this kitty. Spending there babysitting money truly shows at young age these teens were brave and had a big heart. A SPEACIAL THANK YOU for giving kitty a chance.... and it saddens me to say goodbye to a young kitty but they gave the kitty a chance and the kitty thanks Tyler and Breyanna for being so kind and full of love.
To the girl who works for the city of windsor today down at the river by the stage in front of the casino this afternoon , Made riding my bike down by the river a bit better then usual :)
Today I went to Walmart with my husband around 830 and stayed in the car. I watched this man wearing shades a hat and a denim jacket walk around the parking lot telling people a story about how he locked his keys in his van and he mentioned he tried calling his wife and she's not answering her phone and how he doesn't have CAA and would appreciate any change towards his tow truck fee. At first I thought, this poor guy! However that quickly changed once I seen him say the same story to 5 different families, while he went from 1 side of the parking lot to the other. I thought okay maybe this guy has a drug addiction. as my husband walked up the the car I thought he was for sure going to ask him and I would stop him, but he didn't instead he got into a blue sunfire that was parked behind my car. Just thought I would share it with everyone..
A single mother and her six small kids put out a yard sale today in hopes of earning some extra money to help with bills and groceries. It happened on Queen Elizabeth Drive. When along came a good Samaritan who stopped his car and walked up to her, gave her one hundred dollars and told her to have a blessed mothers day
He said he attended the church around the neighborhood and wanted to do something for someone in need. That lady and children are so grateful to this good Samaritan, it made their day perfect. I feel blessed to know that there are good people in this city.
I've been in emergency from last night at 7pm till 4pm today. The nurses impressed my so much with their service. Today there was a older man next to me that they had to spend over an hour attending to and I listened to them working together as a team and all the nurses were offering their help with what they were doing. They were with this man many times while I was there and spend a lot of qualilty time taking care of him. When they were done my nurse appoligized to me for taking so long, I told her not to worry, listening to the great care they gave that poor man really touched me. I was also taken care of very well by such a caring nurse!
I spend a fair bit of time at Malden Park riding my bike, walking or running...I enjoy the peace it affords. Now I don't know when it became fashionable to not only drive your vehicles around the pedestrian/ bike paths but test out your Baja skills up the hill but I saw no less than three separate occurrences today...maybe its time to get a clue morons!!!
Driving with my dad the other day, on Tecumseh in the west end, right near the Tim Hortons and in front of the Esso, we were stopped at a red light and saw a guy take a coat that was left at the bus stop as if it was a normal thing. Just wanted to say that it didn't go unseen, we saw you.
