A Huge Thank You

To Diana and Gus that were out walking on Sunday morning by Windsor Crossing and provided assistance to my daughter who had fallen while roller blading on the trail. They stayed with her until I arrived and called an ambulance when she started to lose consciousness. Words cannot express how grateful I am to them for keeping her safe and comfortable until help arrived. She is now on the mend and feeling much better. Thank you so very much for being there.

FOUND: Child's Eyeglasses

My husband and I found a pair of child's/ teens eye glasses today at Malden Park. They were found on a picnic table seat. I know how expensive they are (having all 4 in our home wearing glasses) so I would really like it we could return these to the rightful owner.

The writing on the inside of the right arm says :

Focus 256 By I-DEALOPTICS

If you can describe the frame of the glasses, please contact me and we can arrange a place for you to pick them up at.

Please share this so that we can get these glasses back to the child who surely needs them.

Prepaid visa fraud

I purchased 2 prepaid Visa cards at store on Huron church. Brought them home to use them for online purchases. The first one being for $200 and the second one being for $100. The $200 worked no problem the second one was rejected. After trying again I contacted visa and was advised to return to place of purchase. Go to find out the packaging had an opening on the bottom and the card that I thought I was purchasing for $100 has been replaced with a dummy card. Days later and still waiting for a resolution. But as of right now I'm out $100. Has anyone ever experienced this kind of fraud and what was the outcome??

Windsor road rage

To the old man who laid on his horn at walker and ypres behind me as I was in the left turning lane waiting until it was safe to turn, not being able to see past the van turning left from the oncoming traffic I did not want to go until I was sure considering I had a 5 month old baby in my back seat. He then proceeded to ride my tail, pass me and then make a point to stop in traffic roll down his window and yell repeatedly at the top of his lungs "you effing b****, eff you" even once I said back I have a baby in my car he continued with "I don't effing care you're a effing b**** eff you" then speed off and I then watched him tail gate everyone else and weave in an out of traffic. I hope you feel good about yourself and feel like a big tough guy yelling at a young girl in the middle of traffic while stopping traffic around. I bet he wouldn't have done that if I had a guy in my car with me. I dont know whats wrong with people lately but the road rage in windsor is getting out of control.

A funeral procession is not about getting to the cemetery at the same time.

Spotted this on a friends wall and wanted to share.

In the last 1.5 years, I have been in 5 funeral processions and attended the funerals of those 5 amazing, wonderful and loving people we lost. These are thoughts on the people who choose to be ignorant during a funeral procession...

So for those of you who were angry that a funeral procession made you a few minutes late, here are few suggestions. The next time this happens, try not to think of the fact that you missed one rotation of the lights; think instead about what the people in those cars will miss. Try not to think of being late for your lunch; think about the people who will never again get to meet their loved one for lunch. Try to consider that maybe you could inconvenience yourself for one moment to allow a grieving family to stay together, to show them that you see them and you recognize their loss.

I hope you can do this because one day, you'll be the one driving with your your hazards flashing, needing to follow closely so you don't lose your connection, don't lose your way. And I hope the world will stop for you.

" A funeral procession is not about getting to the cemetery at the same time. A funeral procession is a chain of connection, a visible sign of the invisible bond of grief "
