Reading Roots is a one week literacy-based summer camp for children aged 4 to 8, designed and implemented by a registered Speech-Language Pathologist and Communication Disorders Assistant. Their extensive educational and professional background in language and literacy intervention will allow them to promote literacy skills for children at all literacy levels whether they are currently experiencing success and/ or difficulty in this specific area of learning.
Several educational based summer camps run out of our surrounding city centres like Windsor and Chatham; however, there is a lack of such opportunities in the county. We are trying to help meet this need by making our camp accessible to families in Leamington, Wheatley and Tilbury!
To the man in the blue pick up that was rear ended this morning near the expressway, I just thought you might be interested in knowing the guy in the white car was texting. That's why he hit you. I just told my daughter that he was going to cause an accident... Then boom. I don't know if it will make a difference or not, but I thought you should be aware. To the young man that was texting while driving, count your blessings that it wasn't much worse! Put your phones down!! If it's that important, pullover!!
My daughters large purple suitcase fell out of her truck Thursday morning around 8am. Somewhere between River Canard, up Howard to Devonshire Mall area. Her dad and i share custody and literally all the clothes she owns were in this suitcase. We have driven the whole route and couldnt find it. Thinking someone may have pulled it off the road for safety. Of anyone has any information please contact me at 519-890-4881. Thanks so much!
I was chaperoning a field trip to St. Clair College, on the school bus back, a group of the students wanted to wave to people to get waves, and cheer people up. I would like to say thank you to the 28 people who waved, honked, or flashed their lights, along the way when it was safe to do so (at lights behind or beside the school bus).
The small gestures of kindness and happiness back made their day (and mine) brighter.
I just came back from a shopping trip with my 3 year old and my hubby, we went to Walmart on Dougal. I've had a lot on my mind today, and the last couple of days. As I was shopping, my hubby had to take my son out side because of a little tantrum he was having. I stayed and paid for the groceries, therefore I put my purse down, which I NEVER DO! I put it in the front of the cart as I loaded the cart, brought it all to the car, loaded it in the trunk, and my hubby put the cart back. He said he didn't notice my purse in the front, and thinks someone grabbed it as they walked by our car as we were loading our groceries.
Long story short, I went to costumer service and of-course nothing was returned. So to whom ever has my black Aldo golden chain shoulder strap purse, God sees you. Karma will have you, I had a little over $100 in cash, all my ID and my house keys in there.
I wish everyone had a heart like mine, if I saw a purse I wouldn't even second guess. I would bring it to where ever I found it with hopes the owner received it. I've NEVER done this before and I feel like it's my fault that someone now has my personal belongings. It's not sitting well with me, I know it's just a purse, ID and money. It all can be replaced, but to the person who has no heart and is looking at my ID right now and spending my money. God is watching you. My purse should've never left my arm, but people also need to stop being so sh***y. That's the most expensive grocery trip I've ever been in needless to say.
My daughter found a digital camera at Jackson Park playground today (June 8th) around 4:00pm. We walked around asking people but did not find its owner. If this belongs to you or someone you know please contact me. I have quickly looked at some of the pictures so please be prepared to describe the pictures on it so that it goes to the right owner.
