Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Last night was the worst night of my entire life. My beloved brother passed away suddenly from cancer. The team at Met Hospital tried desperately to revive him, but his body couldn't handle it. In amongst this heroes stood out his nurse Dolly. She was tender and caring with him while he was there and soothing to us after he passed. As horrible as it all was, Dolly was able to bring comfort as our world was being ripped apart. Dolly you are a hero and an angel. I will never forget your genuineness, kindness and compassion. You will be forever appreciated.
Thank you to the lady on Howard ave today about 3:30 pm this afternoon. I was turning left onto Howard from Giles Ave when I seen a little beige dog running from the houses on Giles and onto Howard to my right. He had just escaped and he was running so fast but I could see he/ she had a leash around it's neck. I envisioned a tragedy as traffic was getting busy. The little dog stopped on the sidewalk almost at Erie st. when he seen your little dog across the street as you were walking. You seen him and I was able to stop my car and yell out to you that he was on the loose, while the car behind me stopped too and was very patient. You walked across the street ever so calmly to him and was able to get the leash. I was not able to yell out thank you or give you any information where I first saw him.
But I bet you that you saved his life today.
My truck was broken in to yesterday morning and my purse stolen (black and brown) around 930 in the Kennedy high school parking lot... it was an individual on a bike and he headed south and cut through the squash club parking lot... I'm sure the $$ is long gone but I would love the return of the family's passports, health cards, birth certificates... etc... it is believed an hour later he rode back past the school so he didn't go too far.... if found, please contact me.... Thanks to everyone in the area!!!
To the woman in the black van ahead of me in the Tim Hortons drive thru at Ypres and Walker this morning. Thank you so much for paying for my order this morning. It was much appreciated! You've been spotted! I've paid it forward. Thank you again!
Thank you to whomever left their coupon at freshco last night! I ran into freshco in Huron line last night to buy some dog food. I am a coupon clipper because who doesn't like to save money?! But unfortunately I didn't have any this time. Picking up my dog food and what do I see but a coupon that someone had obviously clipped out of a paper and left behind for me! So thank you very much! That $4 savings was greatly appreciated. And to top it off my class and I had just been learning about what pay it forward means. Will be sharing this story with them today!
To the "big scary man" on the motorcycle that was stopped at Peter and Brock, I graciously waited while you allowed somebody to go before you at the four way stop when it was your turn to go. I also waited for you to finish whatever you were doing instead of paying attention to the road. Finally I honked to let you know that I was behind you and you turned around and shot me the finger. I ended up having to go around you because I cannot sit there forever. You followed me until we were stopped at a train on Felix and proceeded to yell at me. You claimed that I almost hit you when I went around you, which I didn't even come close, learn how to drive.
PULL OVER IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO DO. YOU DO NOT DO IT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET.
