Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Early sunday (NOV24) morning my family was victims to a theft. All but 1 of our Christmas decorations were stolen after not even being up for a week. On Tuesday a lady had stopped by after seeing us on the news and wanted to give us some indoor decorations along with a brand new grinc blow up she had purchased. We were very humbled that this lady thought of us. Today (Nov 29) i received a message through an ad on windsor buy and sell from a lady and her husband (Stephanie and Joe) who had been trying to contact me since Monday (the day after our stuff was stolen) so she finally reached me today through the buy and sell ad. She had told me her husband found all the decorations that were stolen in an alley near their house which is not far from where i live. I just want to say thank you very much to both of these great people we are extremely grateful to have all of our stuff back and one extra added decoration that we will always remember where it came from. Have a Merry Christmas !
I know I am a little bit late spotting you, but better late than never. So, on Monday, November 25, 2019 around 7:30pm I was craving nachos so I headed over to Queseda's on Walker Rd. I walked in there was a huge lineup and there was one young man working behind the counter. As we are all waiting patiently in line while this young man works his butt off, I was waiting for someone else to come out from the back to help. It got to be my turn and I asked him, "Are you the only one working tonight?" He replied, "Yes, I tried calling and nobody would come in". This young man, was AMAZING!!! I used to work there and I know what it is like. You have so much to do, prep, cleanup and more. It usually would take more than one person to run that place. But, this young man was doing EVERYTHING by himself! During this huge lineup, he was patient, kind and very efficient. Kudos to you and I hope you get recognized for the AMAZING worker that you are! Keep it up, you will go far one day with the work ethic you brought that night! Wish nothing but the best for you and hopefully they find you help next time. Merry Christmas!!! :)
I need to thank the young man at the movie theatre at the mall. My daughter has spells where she passes out when she over heats. Just as we were about to go into the movie she had one of her spells. I grabbed her and ran out into the cold( that helps a lot). This young man behind the counter gave my wife juice, lemonade whatever we needed for our child. 15 min later she was feeling better and this young man refunded our tickets so she could see frozen 2 another time also gave her a Anna doll and my oldest daughter a Elsa for free. He didn't have to do any of what he did and I'm so thankful there our some young kids out there that still care. Ty so much.
I'm a security guard who works in the parking booth at Met hospital and I get all kinds of people coming through in a day and I hear every complaint you can imagine. Some are happy to pay the 3 to 7 dollars for parking and some are not....
When you came through my booth this morning you were clearly frustrated. I asked for the $7 payment and you snapped back at me about how you and your son waited 3 hours to see your doctor and now you have to pay... you were upset, frustrated and you were venting it out on me.
After you drove off I felt bad that I had to charge you for parking since you had had a bad experience.... dealing with the public is not easy, but you what you did next is something that never happened to me in my 10 years of service to the public.... YOU CAME BACK!! You came back to apologize!!
You said to me that your son was so upset with your outburst that he was crying
and he told you "Mom!! She was happy and smiling until you yelled at her!"
Even though I tried to tell you that I understood, you insisted that I accept your apology for being a bad person for taking out your frustrations on me who had nothing to do with it.
I want to thank you for being a good person and an incredible role model to your son.
The next time someone comes through and complains or calls me names, I will remember you...
Your apology will go a long long way.
Thank you
To the person who decided to shatter my car window at the river today... I hope you feel good about yourself. My sisters and I had a beautiful afternoon. We ate at the Bistro and went to see our local talent in Matilda. (Which was so awesome) It was a bit upsetting and scary to come out to see glass everywhere. I hope you got what you wanted out of my little flowery bingo bag. We would never leave our actual purses in the car. If you would have asked me for some money, I probably would have given you some. I'll say a prayer for you tonight.
My husband had a stroke a few days ago while driving. He was having a hard time pulling over. Thankfully there was a young woman driving beside him that noticed that something was wrong and that he was struggling. She was able to help him pull off to the side of the road safely. This young woman was honestly an angel in disguise. She stayed with him until an ambulance arrived and even followed him to the hospital to make sure that he was okay. I really want to thank this lovely woman in person. She probably saved my husbands life. Her name was Keyanna (not quite sure of the correct spelling) and she was wearing a Shukra uniform. Please share this post in hopes that she may see it. I know my husband would love to thank her as well.
