I would like to recognize the awesome cashier working the express lane and customer service counter at Food Basics (on Lauzon Rd.) this morning. Her name is Kathy, my husband and I go to her all the time because she is always so friendly. The customer in front of me dropped a paper on the floor in front of my grocery cart. Kathy asked me to pass it to her so she can give it to the lady who dropped it. She then politely asked me to wait a second so she could try to catch up to the lady and give her the paper she dropped. She came back in and said the she couldn't catch her but lady was another regular or hers and will give it to her next time she is in the store. After ringing in my groceries she looked at the paper and grabbed a phone book. I asked her if everything was ok. She replied that it was the customers paycheck and was looking up her workplace number. While I was packing my stuff, she called and let them know that the lady dropped her check and that it was at customer service. Now that needs recognition. Excellent customer service, honesty, and going out of her way to make sure the lady would get her check back. So happy there are friendly people and honest people still out there.
Today while loading my car I found a change purse with money in it. I was in the parking lot at the super center on walker rd. No identification in it. I would love to see it returned to the owner. I'm sure they are quite upset they lost it.
Need Host families for July ! Every year Japanese girls bless our city with a visit. They meet the mayor, they volunteer at the mission and retirement homes and they learn English intensely for two weeks at school. Host families get the evenings and weekends with their student and learn about another culture and it often inspires the host families' own children to want to learn a language and travel.

Thank you so much to the gentleman who approached my mom and I while we were waiting to pay to get into Art in the Park on Saturday around 2 p.m. You gave us a couple of tickets and told us to enjoy ourselves...we did and your kind gesture truly made my day! You have been spotted!
On Thursday around noon my elderly father drove his scooter up to the corner store on Jefferson and must of dropped his wallet on his way home. A teenage girl wearing a Tim Hortons uniform returned the wallet completely intact and wouldn't even take a reward for her honesty/ kindness. You have been spotted.
I was grabbing a few groceries at fairways in Brentwood and an elderly man told me he had misplaced his cane in the store. I told him not to worry I'll go look up the isles for you. I couldn't find it so I told him I'd go get someone from the store to help him . While I waited in line one woman said she had heard me talking to him and hadn't noticed the cane either. As the cashier rings my groceries in I went to grab my wallet and it wasn't in my purse. I said I just live up the road I'll be right back in 5, I'm so sorry is that ok?
The woman who overheard me talking to the elderly man over heard this and walked over and said I'll pay for it. I said oh no it's ok I'll be back in 5. She insisted, said its only 20 dollars, let me help you. I have never been so overwhelmed and thankful. A big thank you to who bought my groceries. I would like to repay you if I can find you and I will definitely be paying this forward.
I was at Costco on Friday afternoon June 3rd . I found a ring i'am sure it has sentimental value, i would love to see the ring get back to it's rightful owner. If the person who lost this ring can describe it I would be very happy to return the ring.I just want to make sure the person who lost this ring gets it back. Even if I have to bring it to them. Please help me find the owner Thank you Very Kindly
