Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
This happened Friday afternoon, around noon. I was heading east on McHugh Drive at Lauzon, when I observed a young lady, with her 4 ways activated, and an unmarked police car, behind her with his lights activated
I assumed he had pulled her over, to ticket her. I continued on my way, and finished my errands, came back 10 minutes later, but this time there's a gentlemen, adding gas to her gas tank, so she could be on way. The police officer did not leave till this damsel in distress was safely on her way. Thank You Windsor Police for keeping this lady safe in her time of need. Great Job WPD!!!
I waked out of my house today and saw a black Motorola (MotoG3) cell phone on my porch. I figured someone walked passed it and put it there, thinking it was mine. The screen is all cracked up and the phone has an Otter box case. The phone seems to turn on and I can hear the notifications, but the screen is just black. If you lost your phone near Holburn and Ducharme, than this one is most likely yours. Even though the phone seems to be unusable, I'm sure the sim card still has some data on it. If you believe this phone is yours, email me and we can set something up for you to get it back.
Thanks,
Kristy
Friday September 2nd our family went out to Boston Pizza for dinner. As we were about to get ready to leave our daughter got sick on their carpet and the floor infront of the doors. This one employee didn't hesitate at all she went above and beyond to help us with her and she cleaned up the messes! I felt embarrassed but she reassured everything was ok and not to be embarrassed. To the hostess at Boston Pizza on manning you've been spotted and my husband and I are greatly appreciative of your Actions. Thanks again!!!
Yesterday between 5 and 10 pm I lost my Pandora ring downtown Windsor between university and Chatham street on Oulette. Or on the 1c West bus at 920ish. I know this is a long shot but if anyone finds it I would really like it back as it was a gift and means a lot to me .
My son-in-law was in a parking lot, just getting out of his new Ford Escape, and his door was open. This woman pulled right into the space next to him ramming his door into the fender and causing major damage. Luckily he saw the woman out of the corner of his eye,and pulled his leg back in, or he would have lost his leg she hit so hard.
Of course, because it was in a parking lot,it is 50/ 50 so she will not be charged for stupidity, carelessness, traveling too fast in a parking lot and multiple and multiple other offenses she should be charged with.
My son-in-law is just grateful it is just his vehicle that is damaged and not his leg.
Please watch before you drive wildly. Nothing is that important that your plans come before all else.
To the man in the white polo and navy shorts crossing at Greenpark and Riverside at 7:56 pm Sept 1st.
I was in a white suv.
On the ganatchio trail all pedestrians and cyclists and others do NOT have the right of way while crossing the intersections they all have stops signs posted on the poles. So there was no need to give me the what's up arms and stare me down like you were wrong done by. YOU sir ran a stop sign as I was driving safe.
I am an avid user of the trail both on foot and by bicycle. I stop at every intersection to make sure it is safe because the trail has the stop sign not the road.
Just like any normal intersection in the city if the light is red or there is a stop sign pedestrians and the like must stop. Would you barrel across Wyandotte expecting all the cars just to stop for you because you are on foot. I expect not, I think you'd most likely wait for it to be clear to cross.
Hoping you read this and try obeying the rules of the road.
Lost (stray?) Cat seen around Devonshire Heights area. He is most likely someone's cat that may have wandered out of their home. He's friendly and not afraid of humans. Neutered and of good weight and no fleas/ ticks. He was first spotted august 31st In the 3000 block of woodlawn Avenue. He has been hanging around a few homes and all attempts to scare him off have failed.
If you or anyone you know is missing a cat please contact

Just wanted to show my appreciation for the 3 very kind staff at Kabobgy in LaSalle, Ontario on September 1, 2016. My 7 year old daughter and I had stopped in for dinner when she suddenly started with an upset stomach. The staff were very quick to switch our order to take-out and put a rush on the order. The two female staff were very attentive to my daughter and kept constantly checking up on her. After we left my daughter commented on how nice the ladies were to her. Thank you much!!! My appogies for not leaving a tip....you sure deserved it!!!
P.S she is feeling better now and the food was excellent!!!
