ER visit

Yesterday I was stung by a wasp on my tongue. I don't have a sysemic reaction but I do get major swelling wherever I get stung. We immediately rushed to Leamington hospital emergency room. I was seen immediately and the nurse who took care of me was great, his name was David. Everyone in the hospital was wonderful. I've never been to the emergency room before and I'm glad my first experience was such a good one.

Thanks for Dad's meds!!

Thank you so much to the kind lady who paid for my dad's pain meds at the Superstore Pharmacy, this afternoon!
He had forgotten his wallet and you generously covered the dispensing fee so he did not have to go home empty handed!

God bless you :)

A Hug on Ottawa

Sunday morning a good Samaritan stopped to give a man hope and a hug when he felt he had lost everthing.
A young man on Ottawa street approached him to ask if he would call an ambulance. He lost his job, his wife, his house, and decided to overdose on something. The kind citizen called 911 and walked with him until he collapsed and sat next to him on the ground, crying myself. His mom, driving around looking for him, stopped her car, and came running over screaming and crying.
Chis, you extended you hand to this man and his family. As a mother myself, I pray that there are more people like you who will stop and pull someone in off that ledge, give them hope and kindness and a hug when I cannot. One day it may be my child. There are no words to adequately express a parents gratitude for gvmiving their child your time. ❤ #everylifematters #goodsamaritan

Smalls things sometimes make huge differences

Just wanted to share a kind hearted person I recently connected with. I was on Kijiji the other night searching for toys for my boy (3yrs old) I came across a free spits tickets ad relizing my son and I love hockey and he hasn't experienced a live game yet asked if they were still available. The poster said unfortunately they were not but offered me any other sunday tickets I wanted in the future. For that ma'am or sir I believe deserved recognition. small gestures like this go unoticed way to often .. you've been spotted. God bless.

Lost memories!!

On Friday night, my family went to the Harrow Fair to listen to the band and enjoy the Fair. Shelley had her Nikon camera bag on the back of her wheelchair as usual for such outings, as she loves to document events and family activities. The last time the D3200 Nikon camera was out of the bag being used was when she was taking pictures of our son and I on the Tilt a Whirl ride. When we left that ride, the camera was back in the case on the back of her wheelchair, and we went to the handicapped parking area by the skateboard park, packed up the van, and came back to Windsor. As I unpacked the van, I realized the camera bag was gone. Even though it was after midnight, Shelley was able to reach the Harrow Fair Committee president, who searched the parking lot first thing in the morning and checked with the office. No one had handed it in and no sign of it. We went back out to the Fair yesterday to ask and look ourselves. It has vanished. As upsetting as that is, and as much of a financial loss as that is for Shelley- it is a nice camera and there was an expensive lense and other equipment in the bag, and it isn't something she can easily afford whatsoever, or that I can afford to replace- it is the SD card that holds so many pictures of memories of our now 13 year old son's childhood that is the most devastating loss. Years of pictures. If anyone has any idea about the black Nikon camera bag or found it and the D3200 Nikon camera inside it, or just that precious SD card, please contact us- we are just beside ourselves with having lost this. You can call Shelley at 519-915-2993 or me, Janet, at 226-787-2963. Thank you for your consideration.

WE can make a difference

It's Sunday morning and I don't like to make a fuss, BUT, the drivers in Windsor are terrible. We can't change our roads but we can change the way we drive and we MUST influence others.

At the corner of Jefferson & Tecumseh, around 8:30 am, a shiny, black convertible Camaro pulled beside me at the stoplight; I was heading south on Jefferson. His first mistake was to pull up on the outside lane with no idea he was now preventing a string of cars behind him from making right hand turns. That's his prerogative, inconsiderate but not illegal. I knew he was sending the message he thought he was too good to wait in line with the rest of us. I got the message he was going to race me across Tecumseh; he was so anxious to go he almost started going when the turning light flashed. The good news was that he realized he had been blocking several cars wanting to turn right. Once across Tecumseh Rd, he drove the speed limit. I just laughed at the poor, small minded fool. When we passed the abandoned police station, he decided to put the accelerator to the floor. Again, I laughed at him when I caught up to him at the red light at Jefferson & Quality Way. The light turned green and he drove like an idiot, getting the car to go as fast as it could. He wasn't getting on the expressway, so I tried to let go of the negativity. I laughed one final time thinking of how big a fool he is to drive in that fashion, in a flashy car with vanity plates. So, if you know a bearded gentleman that owns a black, convertible camaro with vanity plates, let them know he has been reported to Road Watch. Then ask him why he drives like he owns the road.

I thought that it would be smooth sailing now, I had encountered my idiot for today. I was proven wrong. Just past Central Avenue, as the expressway becomes two lanes again, the lady driving in the right hand lane decided the expressway was also a garbage can. While I'm pulling beside her, in the outside lane, she threw out a cigarette butt (hitting my closed passenger window), a drink cup and various other paper garbage. WTF?? Stop asking why the city doesn't clean up and correct your behaviour! If my passenger window had been down, the cigarette butt was in my car. It was a light blue, Ford Escape with magnetic ribbons on the back hatch. Sadly, she didn't have personalized plates.

We can do better, we deserve better. Somebody out there knows these people, plus more, that drive in arrogant & dangerous ways. Our roads aren't as bad as our drivers. Let's fix this!

Deaf Hero

Being a Victim of the tornado on Riberdy Road last week, I was offered assistance through a Chrysler Worker. This kind man is removing damaged trees that Insurance won't cover and hauling them away for only the price of his gas and oil. Bryan has already broken 2 chains and has used over 5 gallons of fuel. There is a Gofundme account already set-up, but if people ask that Bryan's tools be replaced, I would be very grateful. I'm Greg Tremblay, and you will soon hear my name mentioned often, for highlighting our Mayor's broken promises. Twas my 4th tornado, so living near me is the safest place to be. Love to all!

Lost Camera at Harrow Fair on Friday night.

On Friday night, I lost a black Nikon camera bag with a black Nikon d3200 camera and other camera equipment inside. The last place I took pictures was near the Tilta Whirl. I hung the camera bag on my wheelchair and then went to the handicapped parking lot where we were parked right next to the skateboarding area. The camera bag must have either fallen off of my wheelchair on the way to the handicapped parking lot or in the actual parking lot. While I would love to have my camera and equipment back, what I am truly devastated about lising is the sd card with years wirth of pictures of my son's childhood on it. If you've found it, or know anything at all, please call me at either 519-915-2993 or at 226-787-2963. Thank you.
