Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
A lady returned Cash she found at an ATM. She explained "I am on disability and was once a single parent of 2 so I know what this cash could mean to someone. Especially at this time of year". I wished her a special blessing and a Merry Christmas. Hoping good luck and happiness will also come her way. There still are honest Angels in Windsor!
To the lady at FreshCo Huron Church tonight,
I could tell by the way you barged in front of everyone to get through the grocery store door first that obviously you were having a bad day which is understandable because everyone has them. Your young son stopped to hold the door open for me but accidentally went through the same time you were trying to get your cart through the door. You stopped, yelled at him to get behind you, told him he can't do that, and gave him a dirty look. I felt so bad because he was just trying to do something nice and kids displaying manners like that is so rare these days. You continued to rage around the store and when I crossed paths with you again you were telling your son that you were going to punch him in the face. I wish I had been able to say something to you, to stick up for your son who you decided to bully. I hope today was a fluke, and most other days you are kinder to your child.
Please keep a look out for my wallet! It is a brown and black long wallet with all my identification in it including gift receipts for returns - NO cash in it! My name is Katie, please contact me if anybody comes across it!
Tonight between 6:15 and 6:20, a black pickup truck hit me and drove off. I was heading north on Howard Ave, right before Irvine street. Basically right before the Howard & Tecumseh intersection. He was attempting to merge into the right lane (in a hurry, as his tires were squeeling). He nailed the entire side of my car, didn't even break, and sped off to turn right onto Tecumseh Rd. If anyone was there when this happened and got the license plate, please let me know. Or if anyone sees an older model black pickup truck with damage to the passengers side, or with gold paint transfer, also let me know.
My husband and I purchased a new recliner and decided we could pick it up ourselves instead of having it delivered. As we were unloading it from our truck, a UPS truck pulled into our driveway with a package for us. This very kind gentleman asked us if we needed help carrying it in. We both just looked at each other, because I had just said to him that I didn't know if I was strong enough to carry it through the back yard and into our back door. I finally said I would very much appreciate the help he offered. I was blown away that this guy would take the time out of his schedule to help total strangers with something that was so awkward, and heavy to carry. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you so very much Roger, from UPS. You are an outstanding individual and you sure made my day!!
It's Thursday December 8; I'm sitting in the Moy Medical Centre next to this little boy who is 7; he's with his father and aunt. This poor little guy is beside himself because he is about to get tested for allergies.
Lo and behold, this wonderful woman approached the family, and asked if she could give the little boy something. She saw how distraught he was, and so went into the pharmacy to buy him a Spiderman stuffy to help soothe his nerves. She told him to hold onto him tight when he had to go get his tests done.
This was such a heartwarming act if kindness! Just wanted to give a shout out to this very kind soul to let her know how nice it is to see folks with empathy, and how a small gesture can make a huge impact.
Merry Christmas!!!
On Tuesday Dec 6 I was leaving Devonshire mall around 5pm near the moxies entrance and this cute guy dressed in a great suit smiled so I smiled back! Then he stopped and asked if we knew each other. We didn't, but we started to chat a little asking if I had finished all my Christmas shoping, what I did for a living and if I was married or anything! I'm not... see 6 months ago I ended what I thought was going to be a forever and its been tough. But today Matty from a dealership in Windsor gave me hope! Giving me the hope that at anytime someone can walk into your life and change it! Because this was a first for me and being so caught off guard I didn't give him my number or even ask him his! Matty I hope you have a chance to see this and will get in touch! Maybe grab a beer sometime and chat some more! Either way I want to say thank you for putting a smile on my face that day!
Tuesday December 6 at 11:35 a.m. I was hit on Albert & Milloy. The lady that hit my car causing me to spin out had ran a stop sign. At least she had the decency to get out of her car and ask if myself and my fiancee were OK, once I started call 911 ( my car was not drivable) she took off in her car leaving only her front license plate behind. Turns out stolen plates. If anyone see a silver Nissan Altima newer model with damage to front end on her passenger side as well as missing the plastic piece to hold up license plate please call the police. The driver was a 24-30 year old female. Not only did she hit & run but caused some back pain in both our backs for driving so fast. I hope the police find you. Shame on you leaving me with nothing but headaches, and no car to get to my full time job.
