Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Decemeber 8th - 8:00-8:10am, on Central Ave, heading southbound over the express way. Black Lincoln and Navy Ford fender bender. Looking for witnesses. Accident happened on the over pass of the expressway ( Central Ave.)
I was stopped on the side of the road while my eldest went to pick up his younger sibling from school.
Traffic is passing like any other day...and bam, really loud noise and shock. Someone drove a little too close and their side mirror hit my side mirror. It took me a moment to realize what happened...because they drove by very quickly and did not stop. Significant damage...
Very thankful it wasn't a child because children are everywhere at that time!!!
Merry Christmas to whomever you are who hit me and didn't even stop. I guess I will ask Santa for a new side mirror.
Wednesday Dec.14, I was at Superstore on Walker rd to drop off my lapghans for Warm Wishes a group that makes homemade crocheted afghans for seniors in nursing homes. We were trying hard to complete 60 so each member in Brouillette Manor would receive one. Some wonderful people read the article in the Windsor Star about our group and donated beautiful lapghans and quilts so no one would need to go without. Thank you all so much for sharing your lovely work to help us reach our goal...it is appreciated and will be well received by our seniors. Warm wishes are coming for a wonderful holiday season for all from the members of Warm Wishes crocheters of Windsor.
This week as I was waiting for the 1C at Central & Tecumseh, I spotted a person in a wheelchair in a position where they were unable to cross the road due to the build of ice & snow due to improper snow clearance. Before I could even react an employee (or Bobby himself!) from Bobby's Burrito & Taco on the corner of Central & Tecumseh came out, shovel in hand, broke up ice chunks & shoveled some of the snow. He was going to help the person cross, but seemed like the person said they were cool & could handle it from there. I wanted to give a shout out because this is the type of business we should support & keep within the community. This isn't really something you'd see from a large corporation - they'd be too frightened that they'd be liable if the person got hit by a car or whatever. & yeah, my stealth photography could use some work.
I need to rant a little. Last night while my husband and I were being Mr. @ Mrs, Claus at a children's party at the legion some one stole my husband's suitcase that had his winter coat and gloves in it. Being it was below zero when we left the poor man had to go home in only his golf shirt. I hope the person who took it is reading this and feeling ashamed of themself. Maybe you needed the suitcase "to go on vacation" LOL. Obviously you didn't know the coat was inside so we want you to wear it and be warm this winter.
Today while doing my running around I had taken many busses but there was one bus in particular that I have to mention. I was not going to make the Crosstown 2 (bus 474 or 574 I can't remember) as I was still quite a ways away but the wonderful driver took the extra min to wait for me in the very cold temps today.
You Sir are a credit to the service. Thank you for making my very cold day a little warmer. I wish you a very merry Christmas.
Does anyone know of an oral surgeon which knows Health Smiles program well to extract my 2 special needs teens wisdom teeth? My scheduled surgeon refuses to even submit a pre approval.
We were at Windor Home Coalition's Christmas party and these very lovely folks made a huge donation for the children that were there. My son, Damien Heisler won the raffle for a hockey goalie helmet and Goalie pads as well. He was so excited that his number was called and is thrilled to have received them. They took a photo with him and the gear!! We both wanted to say thank you to HOG's of Windsor and Windsor home coalition as well!! You made his Christmas!! Thank you again and I hope you guys are able to get our thanks!! ❤️ Happy holidays...
