Shovel your walks

Lazy cheap businesses ... Pedestrians are customers too! Clearing your parking lot for driving customers isn't enough... That strop of pavement in front of your business lot?its called a sidewalk, most people have these things called legs that we can walk on. And some of us use buses and our feet to get from one place to another... Your parking lot pile that you pushed onto the sidewalk creates a safety hazard. Clean it up... There's a nifty new invention called a shovel that works wonders. I for one am sick of walking down walker road trying to decide if I should navigate knee deep snow and ice piles and twist my ankles or walk thru ankle deep slush puddles on the road risking being hit by a car.

Smarties

I want to thank the kind gentleman who bought me Smarties at Home Hardware today. You didn't know that I had just realized that the gift I felt like I was missing after announcing that my Christmas shopping was done was a gift for my husband (who passed away this summer). I was teary eyed and frazzled and your offer to buy those Smarties 'to get me through' did just that.
I hope you finished that plaster job and that you ate the red ones first - just like you made me promise to!
Merry Christmas to you and yours Sir!

Tender Reunion

This morning while driving down Ouellette Ave. @approx.8:30 am my sister and I witnessed a reunion I'm assuming between a father and a young daughter. The love between you two was overwhelming and it was very emotional. We just want to say thank you for that..it was very touching. 💗 We don't know what your story is but we want to wish you both a very Merry Christmas and we hope that whatever it is that you're not together works out for you both. The love and missing each other between you was very much evident. 🎅

20-year-old Committment Ring

Lost my 20-year commitment ring - I think in parking lot of Winners on Walker road Friday night (December 9th - looks just like this but pinky-sized. We've been there and searched and left our name everywhere. I feel so sad.
Perhaps if you help by sharing it might by some miracle be returned. I would be happy to offer a reward. I can be reached by sending me a message on FB.
thanks so much!

Amazing Snow Plow Driver

A few days ago when I got home from work I knew I needed to finish shovelling my driveway. I started shovelling at 6:30am and there was a snow plow on my cul de sac doing a second round of plowing. My back was acting up and I was dreading shovelling the end of my driveway that the plow had piled the snow up on. Next thing I know the snow plow driver drove right up to my driveway and pushed all the excess snow away from the end of the driveway. You have been spotted I can't even tell you how much you made my day. Thank you for your kindness.

To the young man dressed as a Jedi who showed up at Silver City for the 7pm showing of the new Star Wars movie on Thursday night: You graciously took the time to pose for pictures with my daughter after the movie and I didn't even get your name. Thank you for being kind and patient! May the force be with you!

Thank you!

Today, I had the unfortunate incident of my car slipping into a ditch due to snow flying everywhere on Howard and County Rd 20. I just wanted to thank everyone who stopped and checked to make sure I was okay and asked me if I needed help. The house in front of where the incident happened, thank you so much for coming out of your house and helping me. Also, to the OPP officers and the Fireman who also checked in on me to make sure I was okay and drove behind me until I was completely okay, thank you. It's people like all of you who still make me believe that there are good people out there. Thank you again.
