I was driving home from work on the expressway on Mother's Day, passing by Howard in the left lane when an older Black Ford Escape with a yellow bike rack on the trunk cut in front of me going extremely slow. This made me have to slam on my breaks and almost caused an accident as he cut in front of me suddenly with no single. Driving behind him, he began breaking suddenly and going 90kms in the left lane not allowing me to pass him(someone was in the right lane). As I tried to get in the right lane to exit at dougall, he proceeded to give me the finger and yell things at me. Thank you for the disgusting behaviour although I did absolutely nothing wrong to you. Shameful
I met the most interesting gentleman named John at Jackson Park who for the past week has been available to anyone who just wants to talk! He has a degree in psychology and just wanted to find a new way to get out and help people. I think it's a fantastic way to meet and help those that may just need a listening ear. If you know someone that may benefit from this go see him! Noon to 4 p.m. I applaud your heart John!
I was at Cramdon's on May 6th for a mid-afternoon birthday party. With me, I had my 3yr old granddaughter, whom for 2 hrs steady did laps around the restaurant and had moments which involved tears and screaming. Not one person complained or made me feel uncomfortable.... What no one knew, was that my sweet little girl has autism and is non-verbal. This makes her unable to fully communicate, therefore she has a very hard time being in social settings at times. The kindness and understanding I was shown and given that afternoon has restored my sense of hope in what awaits her in the future. Thank you to all the amazing staff and patrons that were there that day! @cramdonstapandeatery you have been spotted!
My mother went to the bank last week. There was an elderly woman at the ATM, who asked my mother for help as she had a hard time seeing the screen. The elderly woman told my mother her pin # so she could get some money out. She also said her son in law usually helps her with her banking. My mother is an honest woman so she helped her. Luckily it was my mom who helped her as the next person may have taken advantage. I'm putting out this message as I worry for this woman who is very trusting. Please talk with your elderly parents about safety at the bank machine.
I was on the 530am Via train from Windsor to Toronto this morning and in Chatham, on came a large group of children for a field trip to Toronto. So many adults were upset by this, having to move seats etc and not wanting to be seated near the kids. We were in Car 4 and the group of children in there were truly amazing. Well behaved, polite, respectful. There was a line for the bathroom and the one little boy seeing that I was pregnant insisted I go first, even though I tried to get him to go first. He was very respectful. As I came out of the bathroom another little boy bumped into me as I was headed back to my seat and he apologized, more than once and asked if I was okay.
To the chaperones on the trip, You should be very very proud of those children. I have never seen a more behaved, polite and respectful group of children.
Bruce and Alfred are 8 month old brothers born in early Sept 2016. They have been fixed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and have received flea treatments with paperwork to prove! No vet visits necessary, just take them home! They are bonded and must be kept together upon adoption. Both have an excellent temperament, calm and lots of purring. Alfred is quiet and dignified, likes to play but prefers to cuddle. Opposed by Bruce who is shy at first but always ready to chase a ball and is only ready to cuddle once tuckered out. These two are perfect for a busy household or someone who enjoys the companionship but perhaps doesn't always have time to play with cats. Bruce offers play time for Alfred and Alfred is always willing to cuddle with Bruce! This is the benefit to adopting two cats! Not as much work as one cat alone!
They are good with children and are used to being around small to medium sized dogs; I'm sure given a little time they could get used to large dogs.

I need to apologize to one driver and thank another driver. I was merging onto the Expressway on May 15th, going east from Howard Ave around 3pm.
I checked my mirrors and over my shouler before merging into the lane, but as I started to merge, I saw a white SUV next to me and so I quickly turned my wheel to avoid colliding. I, first of all, would like to apologize to that driver! I have never had something like that happen with me before, although I am young and still have lots to learn.
I still am trying to figure out how I did not see the SUV when I checked. I sincerely apologize to you for that.
When I turned my wheel, since I was going so fast, my car started to skid and I struggled to regain control. Once I did, I successfully merged and continued on, mostly in shock.
I was shaking very badly, crying, and hyperventilating, but still continued on driving.
I want to thank the man in the red car who pulled up in the lane next to me and slowed down to ask me if I was okay.
I know it was my fault and my mistake would make many people angry and say that I deserved what happened to me, but you stopping to make sure I was okay made me feel less scared and alone and I greatly appreciate your small gesture. Little things can go a long way.
