Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
To the lady who pulled over to help me rescue Skyler, THANK YOU so much. I was in shock that he got free, and if I chased him he would have run in traffic. So thankful he stayed on the sidewalk, I was holding my breathe. To anyone driving on Grand Marais this morning at 8:45 and heard my screams and seen my pup running loose, thank you for stopping so no other cars could speed buy. You all helped saved him from getting run over. Again THANK YOU from Skyler and I.
Thanks to the girl in front of me at Tim's at Wyandotte and Lauzon this morning who paid for my coffee and doughnut, you made my morning!
It is also my birthday, so a great start to another year!
The stuff coming out the rear end of your dog is FECAL MATTER.
Pick up after YOUR animal, don't leave a steaming pile in my front lawn. If you don't want to pick up the caca, you shouldn't own a dog. (or have kids)
I don't come to your house and poop in the middle of your living room.
jeeze.
I decided to go for a walk with a friend today. We went to the riverfront to check out an old heritage train site he had been raving about for almost a year. We went to the underpass at the riverfront and Crawford, to look at the old rail path, that was now a frequent path for dog owners, and apparently junkies. Between the two of us we safely removed almost a dozen needles scattered along the path (no, not with bare hands, mostly without hands at all.), collecting them in a bottle and gave them to city workers and their boss to safely dispose of. Parents and dog owners alike, be careful, and vigilant. Some of these were not capped, and could easily have stabbed or scratched someone.
Just hoping to remind drivers that Dominion is a residential street. I can't even count the number of vehicles that come flying down it like its an expressway. Posted speed limit is 50 for a reason. A Bunch of us have gotten together and are taking license plate # when we're outside doing yard work and see a vehicle going 70+ so pay attention cause we are and we are reporting it.
To the young man named Nick that works at the Superstore on Walker Road, you don't know how much your help was appreciated. Being middle aged and the fact that the product I needed was all at the very back of the shelf and
on the lowest shelf would have meant that I would have had to lay on the floor and crawl onto the shelf because I am short to get what I needed. Upon me asking you for help you readily assisted me, you did not roll your eyes or in anyway act like it wasn't your job. You also at that point moved the rest of the product to the front of the shelf, simply amazing without be asked to do so. Just so you know Nick the customer service you showed me tonight was refreshing. It's not always easy to find, and I work in the customer service field. pat yourself on the back Nick you deserve it.
To the guy that got off his bike to help me get my stalled car into the parking lot of the maple leaf today, thank you soooo much! I was in full panic mode and a fairly new driver so thanks for getting me off of Tecumseh road into the lot!! Very much appreciated and I hope something wonderful happens to you. Of course my car worked 5 minutes later by the way (grrr) but THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! And also thank you to the woman who got out of her van to stop the traffic in the right lane so I could get by!!! Very thankful for people like you guys!
