I have had 2 Total Knee Replacements in the past few months and today was the very first time I ventured out with my new knees. As we were leaving Walmart I stopped at the Lottery kiosk to check my tickets and moved to the side of the cart to reach my purse. Apparently my slow moving infuriated you so much that you felt the need to let myself, my daughter and your two young children know by tossing off an insult that began with the letter F. I understand us slow people must frustrate the able bodied people like you but was it really necessary to then push your shopping cart so close that you rammed into me forcing my still healing and very sensitive knees into my shopping cart? Oddly enough at the time all I could think about was the look on your children's faces and thought "If she is this abusive to strangers in public I wonder how she behaves at home". I very much hoped this was just a very bad day for you and if my slowness frustrated you that much I am very sorry.
I was out walking with my 4 month old daughter and came across a big group of students running around the pond near St. Joe's Highschool. I believe it was a gym class since there had to be at least 25-30 students and 2 teachers. Some were running pretty fast, some jogging and some walking but every single student took the time out to say hello to me. Every boy & girl either waved or said hi. A couple of the girls even wanted to stop to look at my baby. It really warmed my heart after coming across these wonderful students. I honestly couldn't believe every single one of them took the time out to say hello with a big smile on their faces. Definitely made my day so to all those students from St. Joe's out running on Friday around 2pm keep on smiling and being kind to others. You never know the impact you have on others with just a friendly hello!
On Tuesday September 5th, I was coming out of the Jackson park health Centre when a very kind woman stopped me, she said "I just wanted to tell you that you are a beautiful woman". Little did this kind woman know, I just left my Counsellor's office and was discussing my low self esteem. The timing was perfect! Such a kind gesture from a stranger and the encounter has truly stuck with me. Thank you to this stranger with a big heart for making me feel better. It's the little things, Thank-you :)
At approximately 4:30 pm on Friday. My 2 year old son was walking down Ford Blvd, after being picked up at daycare by his Mimi. The garbage truck just happened to show up at the same time to collect. My son, in love with big trucks, followed this garbage truck from house to house stopping and watching as the men picked up the garbage. The neighbors came out to their porches to watch this all unfold and were laughing hysterically as my son was in complete heaven watching this go down. These men played along, honking and laughing with my son as they went on with their work load. I was told by my mother at one point the men got out their phone and started video taping him. It was quite the neighborhood entertainment. To those men working that day after the amount of work load they're taking on because of this flood, THANK YOU! You along with my son had the neighborhood in stitches laughing so hard. Please, if the men see this, could you send me the video or upload it to here so I can see this. I was working overtime and would love to watch it. Again, thank you for making my toddler's day. He loves big tucks!
Much thanks to the Green for Life employees and the help from Toronto who are putting in long days cleaning up from the flood. These 2 guys just picked up a mess in front of a house, right down to the clothes and towels that were not bagged. If you see any of these employees, say thanks. A little appreciation goes a long way.
I happened to discover where they are dumping some of the debris from the flood. It is at or perhaps I should say where the old G M Plant ise to stand . I live in this neighborhood and I am not to sure how I feel about it as we already have a rat problem due to the tearing down of this building.
To the honest young man at Devonshire Mall early this evening (Sept 8, 2017). You saw a $10.00 bill fall out of my pocket and called me to give it back. I'm terrible for sticking money in my pocket and losing it. It was only 10 bucks, and you could have kept it, but I appreciate your honesty. Thanks for being a remarkable young man, and I hope you are rewarded well for being a good person!
