Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Today my car started smoking at the intersection of cabana and dougall. Not knowing what I should do, I turned the car off, put my 4 ways on and called my brother for help who is a mechanic. While I was standing there waiting for him and basically directing traffic, I had many people stop to see if I was Okay, ask if I needed help and asked if I had called someone. Two men then parked their cars away from the intersection and walked through traffic to get to me. This was during rush hour traffic and during the hottest part of the day. Together, the two men and my brother safely pushed my car across the intersection to the shoulder of the road on the other side. A very big thank you to everyone who cared for me today, and a special thank you to the two men who took time out of their days to help a stranger in need. I hope good things come to each of you soon!
Last summer I spent 3 days turning an old wood window into a stained glass art piece for my garden. After 1.5 years of sitting beautifully in front of my house, somebody decided to steal it. It's not about the monetary value, but the sweat equity i put into making it. Boy oh boy, people really are the worst. If you see this piece sitting in somebody's garden, please either spot it for me or steal it from them, because they don't deserve it.
Sincerely,
A pretty bummed out lady.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! to the firemen, policemen and EMT's and to the total strangers that took time out of their busy lives to stop and check, and even stay with, give statements regarding the accident on the dougall on ramp last night. No parent EVER wants to get that phone call and what we saw as we approached made my heart sink, but each and every one of you took care of my daughter as if she were your own and I can never ever thank you enough! I wish I got names so I could thank you personally, hopefully you will see this.

September 20th just outside Herman on Bernard Road around 8:30 am a Black Chevy Trailblazer with 3 white males dressed in black in there 20-30s were attempting to lure a teenage girl up to there vehicle. If anyone saw anything contact windsor police.
Can anybody suggest a good, reliable mechanic for regular maintenance for my car? As a single female, I'm tired of the dealerships or feeling like I'm being taken advantage of because I don't know much about cars. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I just wanted to say how much I was blessed by a beautiful, kind soul at Ottawa and Walker today. My Mum had just finished her appointment with a specialist and when we went to leave the building, we saw that it was pouring rain. We decided to wait until the rain died down a bit before going down the long ramp outside of the Ottawa Market. My Mum is 86, has Alzheimer's and is in a wheelchair. A woman came in the door and saw that we were waiting because of the rain. She immediately offered her umbrella and then told us to take it and keep it because she had many umbrellas at home. She told me to make sure that my Mum didn't get wet. I was so grateful for her kindness and her generosity. I gave her a great big hug and she gave me one back. It was like we had always know each other! I was so impressed that this woman to noticed our needs and immediately tried to help. This woman's act of kindness made my whole day much brighter. What a blessing from God she was!
I was waiting for the bus which was very late and it started raining, I didn't have an umbrella with me. A woman came along and offered me her umbrella to put over the child I had with me which was so kind and generous. Thank you so much you made our day!!! I will definitely pay it forward somehow.
