A week or so ago I was in Devonshire mall and made my way into thyme maternity. Being a first time mom I was very nervous and felt really uneasy about the changes I was going through, wasn't feeling too great about myself hated the way my clothes looked and fit. Until the staff there approached me, you were all very nice and helpful, especially the lovely girl in the headscarf who helped me. You were amazing, you were so helpful offering me things I needed and helping me every step of the way. It was really hard for me to do it alone, but you had the most amazing attitude. You made it fun for me to shop, you were super honest and I loved everything I ended up buying! I left the store a happy mommy! I really appreciated everything you did, I can't remember your name but I wanted to spot you!!
You know who you are and what you did on County Rd 42 Friday, October 20th around 6:20am travelling eastbound towards Tilbury just past Saint Joachim. You HIT my car knocking BOTH of our drivers side mirrors off and YOU KEPT GOING?!?!? Did you know, for whatever reason your vehicle crossed over the centreline, whether you were distracted falling asleep or attempting to pass a vehicle in front of you, it doesn't explain the choice you made to leave the scene of the accident. Did you know that my car after being knocked from the road rolled three times leaving me alone and suspended upside down secured by my seatbelt thank God. reeling in pain terrified screaming out for help knowing I had to get myself out of the car? Did you know that there are still beautiful people in this world her name is Rhonda she stopped and stayed with me-until help arrived? Did you know that I have three wonderful children and a loving husband and my first grandbaby on her way? Did you know that I was supposed to be celebrating my 30th wedding anniversary this weekend instead my husband has been left to take care of me and put the pieces back together. He has to listen to me yell out in pain when I move the wrong way and deal with my moods which range from being super thankful that I made it out OK to angry and short tempered because I hate having people to have to take care of me like this? I do know that accidents happen I also know that what you did was not intentional or personal. I hope now that you've had the weekend to think about it you decide to turn yourself into the OPP. Know that if you do not my family and friends will continue to look for you we have pieces of your vehicle. Do the right thing it was only an accident don't let the guilt stay with you because you know what you did and even if you get rid of the car you can't get rid of the guilt.
To my family and friends thank you so much for being there loving me and showing me your support. Please share hopefully it reaches its rightful owner.
Shout out to Brian at McDonald's at Tecumseh and Drouillard. We were missing toys in our happy meals and when I called he invited us back and let our boys pick a toy and make their own ice cream. He went above and beyond. All I expected was to get the toys.
Big shout out to the people that stopped and helped me tonight. I don't know your names but I hope you see this and let everyone know it was you!
I left Tecumseh Mall this evening, it is and was cold, windy, and pouring rain. Just about as soon as I got onto Tecumseh I knew I had a flat tire. Managed to slowly get the car to Walmart East and pulled up to their tire and lube garage. It's about 4:47 pm. There are no customers They won't help, not even to put my spare on for me. They close at 5 and they won't budge.
Pretty unhappy about this I go out and get into my car and start making a phone call for help, and a couple pull over and the man says he will take care of it! Unbelievably nice! It is still pouring rain and awful out.
He tells me to wait in the car and I do, but then we have an issue with my jack and he can't get it to work. Another vehicle pulls up, black truck and he says they can help too. So I ended up with 3 men, two sets of strangers, changing my tire in this awful, cold weather.
I have nothing to offer them, and they said that's unnecessary anyways!!
Thank you guys, you saved me from a miserable evening and it's so nice to know that people are still great!
A million thanks to the amazing couple who found my husbands wallet in the shopping cart in the parking lot at Sobeys on Manning Rd last night at midnight and drove out to our home in Belle River and returned the wallet. We were all sleeping and the knocking at 12:30am definitely gave us cause for concern but we were stunned and thankful to this thoughtful and honest couple. My husband wanted to give them something to thank them and all they said was "pay it forward!" There is still so much good in the world. Thank you again!!!!!
I park at the university of windsor engineering lot, and always display my parking pass. However, when the weather is nice, and I roll my windows down, I take the pass down so it doesn't fly off and away. The other day, I forgot to display it. I returned to my car, only to find a parking ticket! Of course I was upset, but I realized it was my fault.
So, I grabbed the ticket and took a look at the amount, which was $0.00. Very confused by this, I thought it must be an error. I looked at the ticket more thoroughly, and saw the message: "Warning: display parking pass". So, the officer let this one go, with no fine. Either the officer knew by my car/ plates that I have a pass, or just gave me the benefit of the doubt. Either way, he/ she could have given me a real ticket.
It may seem weird, but I almost cried, mainly because I have been having a very hard time lately, in a lot of ways. So, a deed like this may seem insignificant to some, but it's a big deal to me. Thank you so much! :)
