Spotted a lost German Sheperd

In the area of Virginia Park and Cabana road I saw a German Shepherd puppy, maybe around 9 months old running down the street. I tried to catch it, but it was running too fast. It ran to Cabana Rd. then turned and headed towards the College, I couldn't see it after that. If anyone is missing their dog they should check the area of Northwood Public school/ St. Clair College, maybe even Roseland Golf Course

Paying it forward

I was at the Tim Hortons on Dougall near the Staples. I had ordered a coffee and breakfast wrap. When I pulled up to the window to pay, I was told the gentleman in front had paid for my order. In fact, the worker says he does this often. What a kind thing to do, I can tell you, you are having an impact on people. My day went from bad to good in an instant and I couldn't help but pay it forward and ended up paying for the person behind me as well. Thank you kind stranger for brightening my day and the days of others.

Sensory Santa at Devonshire Mall

I just wanted to thank the organizers of the sensory Santa at Devonshire mall, it was an amazing first experience for our family. Santa and Mrs Claus were wonderful and were so patient with our kids. Thank you for a great picture and a great memory. Merry Christmas to all of you!

At about 6:45 Tuesday morning on Kildare near Tecumseh, my mother's car died. Thanks to the kind gentleman who let her use his cell phone, helped her get the car out of the middle of the road, and drove her the couple of blocks to her son-in-law's work. Thanks also to the tow truck driver who stopped to assist. It's wonderful to know that people will still help out others in need.

Parking on Private Property

Tonight I attended a family gathering on Sandwich Street. After riding around the few blocks I pulled into the Post Office Lot at Mill Street. Knowing I was in the wrong (but running late), I justified it with the Post Office being closed. Not everyone has the opportunity to be dropped off at the door, and some people are even apprehensive to park on side streets and walk in. My wonderful evening was ruined by a $28.25 parking violation. There really was no need for this citation. All you accomplished was to remind me that it is always better to frequent events held only at establishments that have adequate parking. My City of Windsor charity donations will be that amount slimmer this Christmas. Welcome to the City of Windsor and Merry Christmas.

To the lovely lady who paid for my order

Today my coworker and I went to Tim Hortons around 3ish on Jefferson, and as I approached the window they gave me my order & informed me you paid for it. With the holidays being fast approaching I was reminded of the gift of giving to strangers. Being a single mom I never really have the spare change to pay it forward, but today ma'am I want you to know I paid it forward after you :) I hope the chain continued after I left.
Even the Tim Hortons lady gave me a chuckle when I asked how much the next order was and she gave me a look like eeek possibly expensive, your $4 pay it forward turned into a $10 pay it forward, and hopefully much more afterwards.

Merry Christmas to you and your family and may you have a safe and happy holidays!

bikes on sidewalks

Every day I walk my dog, and everyday we are dodging bicycles being ridden on the sidewalks. I know that the road seems like a dangerous place to some cyclists, they should probably quit cycling. Today, my dog and I were almost hit by a cell phone using cyclist riding on the sidewalk on Ottawa Street. The law states that bicycles should be ridden on the road, do it please. There are bike lanes. Some of us would like to walk along sidewalks without being hit by an inconsiderate, not paying attention, distracted cyclist.
