A family friend of ours lost a family member this past weekend and my husband and I wanted to do something kind for their family. We decided to call and ask if the Caboto Club would be able to throw a dinner together for us to bring to them. The woman on the phone said they don't normally have the kitchen up and running unless there is an event going on, however, she'd ask to see what they can do. We wanted to thank Stan and the Caboto staff who went above and beyond in preparing dinner for our friends, providing much more food then we had ordered, especially on such short notice. Stan told my husband that the Club would do anything for a family in need. Thank you again for your kind service and warm hearted condolences.
I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Transit Windsor and the people of Windsor!
I was on my way to volunteer at the hospital and when I got there, I realized my wallet wasn't on me. I called customer service and the agent (I believe his name was Kevin) was so helpful and kind and alerted all the drivers. My family was able to pick it up when the bus arrived at Tecumseh mall, so thank you to Annie the driver!
Also a last thanks to whoever handed it in. Only $20 was missing (I guess a finder's fee!). All my credit cards and IDs were still there.
Thank you so so so much!
I approached the cart return as an elderly gentleman found a black leather dual zip (gold zippers) wallet. I suggested he bring it to the customer service desk, as that would likely be the first call the owner would make. When he appeared to be heating in his beige (champagne?) coloured van; I suggested that I drop it off at customer service for him, as I was heading that way. He said he would bring it...but he wanted to look through it first!?!? He insisted that he wasn't going to take it. I didn't fight him. I hope he turned it in, or attempted to contact the owner. I did get his license plate number in an attempt to ensure the wallets return. I don't know how that might help. If this sounds like your purse and you never got it back, comment below and I can provide the plates.
After waiting in line for 45 minutes with my 3 girls to see Santa at Colasantis, I saw a sign that read cash only for Santa photos. (I was panicked as I never carry cash.) We were 3rd in line at this point and I was by myself so I was unable to run to an ATM. The very festively dressed lady in front of me overheard my grumbling and said oh, don't worry, I have cash and proceeded to pay for my girls' photo. I had tears in my eyes for her kind gesture.
I hadn't realized that adjacent to the Santa area there was an ATM. I hurried to withdraw the money so I could pay her back but somehow she and her family disappeared into the crowd. We searched for her but to no avail. I then took it as an opportunity to teach my girls about paying it forward. We bought some extra tokens and gave them to a family.
So, to the lady in the knit Santa dress Thank you and Merry Christmas!
☆☆HELP NEEDED IMMEDIATELY☆☆
For reasons unknown to us our current venue that has allowd us to host our HOMELESS DINNER the past 3 years has only yesterday told us we cannot host it at his facility this year. With ONLY 3 WEEKS TILL CHRISTMAS we need to find someone that would be willing to allow us to use their bar or restaurant on Christmas day to host our dinner. The location needs to be in the DOWNTOWN CORE as this is easy access for the homeless. The dinner runs until 3pm. With clean up and returning their place back to the way we found it we will be out by 5pm. PLEASE SHARE THIS!!!
Thank you

It was around 1pm and I was rushing to get to my car to unload my stuff into it and head out quickly to grab lunch and head home. With my two kids and I unloading everything in a rush I guess my wallet fell out of my purse into the cart. My 10 year old took the cart after we thought it was empty and put it where the carts go. We then went over to taco bell to grab some lunch. While in taco bell I noticed my wallet with all my cards and money was not in my purse, I didn't think anything of it and assumed it just fell out of my purse in the car. So I paid with what I had in my purse. After we ate we were heading home and my husband calls me and asks me where I was and if I lost my wallet. I said I don't think I did. He then said I have a George here who found it in the Walmart cart and returned it back to me at my home address. George was going shopping with his son and wife and when he grabbed the cart he noticed the wallet and all the cards/ cash in it. Instead of taking it to customer service he drove all the way to Banwell to drop it off after getting my address off my cards. I cannot believe how lucky I got that the right person found my wallet. I am blessed to not have to go through all the hassle of canceling cards. George I wish you and your family the most wonderful holiday season. I cannot thank you enough!!
Last weekend, while rushing to get to a doctors appointment with my two young children - I left our home to find that I had a flat tire. I got the kids in the car the whole time thinking "What am I going to do? Where can I quickly get some air in my tire?" I stopped at Beverly Tire (GoodYear) on Howard Avenue. I ran into the reception area and explained my situation - The gentleman at the desk immediately told me to pull up my vehicle and they would put air in the tire. A gentleman named Glen came out - checked the flat tire, advised that he would put air in but that I would likely need a new tire. He offered to take it in and have a look right there and then but I had that doctors appointment to get to. He filled the flat and checked all the other tires. He said that I wasn't tied to the service at Beverly Tire, but again stressed that I should get it looked at. I left there grateful for the service and the advice and made it to my appointment on time! Early in the week I called to Beverly Tire to make an appointment - they were able to get me in the next day. When I dropped the vehicle off in the morning I spoke to Joe at the service desk - explained what happened the previous weekend but also gave him some other issues to take a look at while the vehicle was there. I explained that with Christmas coming and money tight I needed to make the vehicle safe for winter driving but was looking for it to be cost effective. He said he would give me a call before making any fixes. He called not long after - gave me a list of things that needed to be fixed now and even some to keep in mind for the spring. The cost that was quoted was very reasonable. I picked up the vehicle after work - and it's driving now like it did when I purchased it years ago!
So to Glen, Joe and the staff at Beverly Tire (Goodyear) - thank you for your courteous, honest service! Sincerely, Your Newest Happy Customer
