Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Spotted: To my mom and dad. Even though my younger sister and I are adults now and we live on our own, you still love and care unconditionally for us. Whether we are out of food, short on the hydro bill, short on the college tuition or need a safe ride home you are always there for us. Even though we enjoy being independent, we love and appreciate the invitations to sunday family dinners, where we can both go back HOME and enjoy the house we grew up in with our parents.
Love you both always from your girls
Spotted in Windsor (Tecumseh):
I was in a pretty bad car accident at McNorton and St. Pierre this afternoon. A woman driving down the street wasn't watching and ran a stop sign, destroying the front end of my brand new 2013 minivan. It's considered a write-off. I had my two sons with me (2 1/ 2 and 14 months old) and I am 14 week pregnant with my third baby.
I would like to thank the paramedics who were on the scene in minutes, They took amazing care of my boys and me, checking us all out, keeping my kiddos calm, and even gave them new stuffed animals to play with. They were very cautious and friendly with me en route to the hospital, and double checked on me before leaving. They made me feel safe and kept me updated with everything that was happening.
I would also like to thank the guardian angel woman who appeared seemingly from nowhere, and sat on the side of the road with my 2 1/ 2 year old (who has autism) and kept him calm, distracted him with his iPad, and stopped him from wandering in to the road while I checked on my baby and spoke to the OPP. I can't thank you enough for being there, whoever you are, and wherever you came from, and I hope you see this and know how much I appreciate you. You were concerned about my injuries and suggested I sit and relax until the ambulance arrived, and those were words I needed to hear - the adrenaline rush had me going non-stop!
To the woman who hit me, I hope this was an eye opener for you - you flat out told me you "weren't watching" and you ran the stop sign. We are fine, but we could have been injured, or worse. YOU could have been injured, or worse. When you drive you are not just responsible for yourself, but you have passengers, pedestrians, and other motorists to consider. Please watch where you are going. Put down the phone, turn down the radio, stop chatting with your friend, whatever the case may be - you are in a very heavy piece of machinery and you need to focus on that.
And just an update for the paramedics and the guardian angels: The baby is fine, his/ her heart rate was 160 bpm, and when they did a quick ultrasound, s/ he did a backflip and waved for us. It's all good. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas, and thank you again for all you did today!
Signed,
Sore, but Thankful my Babies are (ALL) okay.
Spotted : A Holiday shoot out to all "the life changers" and "the best customer service" in windsor..Timmies on Goyeau...All the people that work there are far above ANY Timmies in windsor..i love you all..thx for keeping smiles on our faces...Happy Holidays
Spotted : To the cashier at Rickis at Tecumseh mall. Next time use more tact when dealing with the fact that the customer ahead of me's credit card declined. The whole world including me didn't need to know that . I felt horrible for the couples embarrassment. . By the time it was my turn to pay she didn't even thank me nothing kept talking to her coworker. Not all but a lot of stores need to train their employees on etiquette :)
Spotted : To the guy at the bus stop on Labelle and Dominion in the black jacket listening to his headphones:
Loved that you were singing and dancing even after you had been spotted. You put a smile on our face and made our stop at that red light enjoyable!
Signed, the girls in the minivan that joined you in dancing
Spotted : My Neighbour.
She's such a selfless person and I think it's time someone calls attention to it! Tonight, I slipped on my front porch and fell down the stairs. She was there right away to help me and then gave me salt to put on my steps..but this is not all! She has a low income and ALWAYS thinks of others first. For Thanks Giving she supplied 2 families in need with a free turkey and everything else, so that they would not go without. For Christmas she again picked out a family in need, gave them a ham and went out and bought them $100 in groceries. I've never met a person with a bigger heart. To my wonderful neighbour, you're an amazing person, inside and out and you've been SPOTTED!
Spotted : To the young lady that borrowed the calculator from St. Clair College Security. Thank you so much for your kind gesture with the pizza! We will be paying this forward for sure!
F.W. Begley School was treated with a visit
spotted : to Windsor's Express Basketball team. They took their time to shoot some hoops with the students and staff. They visited some classrooms to take pictures with students and give autographs. Windsor should be proud to have such a great bunch of young men as role models. I hope everyone will support these amazing young men by going out to a game. I know I'm looking forward to going to my first game. Thank you from a new fan. It was great to see so many smiling faces today.
