Spotted: All kinds of reckless drivers on EC row this evening

I work until about 6pm on Friday nights and always take EC Row home. Normally, traffic is very smoothly flowing at this time, although busy, as many people are headed home after a long day of work. Today's milder weather seems to have made drivers less aware of road conditions because I spotted no less than 4 careless driver speeding and weaving in and out of traffic like their wives were in labour. Wet roads and dark skies still make for poor driving conditions and I think we all need to slow down and be more cautious when driving. Not only around the holidays because more people seem to be out and about, but for the rest of the winter when road conditions may not be as ideal as we would hope.

Spotted : To the angel that works at the Manning road McDonalds. I called you tonight after I got home with my order, as my kids discovered that neither had them received the toy from their Happy Meal. They were really disappointed, so I called your location just to report it. I was hoping that maybe it would prevent it from happening to another child. You were so sweet, and immediately volunteered to drive them over on your way home. My boys were so happy to receive their TMNT skateboards. I know the toy is a small thing, but the fact that you took time out of your busy day to bring them over is what makes me believe again in the goodness of people. Merry Christmas!

Spotted : The generous customer at Sears this afternoon that had a few extra coupons. She came up to 3 of us in line and gave us each a sheet of coupons. Each of us got at least $5.00 off our orders. At this time of year it is much appreciated. Thank you.

I have a nice little story from a bride-zilla in the making!
When I first became engaged I swore to myself, my fience, friends and family at my engagement party I was not going to be "one of those, BRIDE-ZILLAS" engaged in April 13 to be married June of 14 and excited as any girl would be, I started planning and making appointments to meet with all my bridesmaids and my mom to find the perfect gown!
The first gown I tried on was it, it was the one... But the price tag stopped me in my tracks, so the search continued for a gown I could compare to The One with not as big of a dent on the planning budget. So I find, the second best one! Get the deposit paid and order placed. Perfect right?! Well, buyers remorse set in and care of cost right out the window.
I begged and plead "please let me cancel my order and get the dress of my dreams" to be smacked in the face with "contract is signed, orders already in place it can not be canceled" huff and puff I suck it up and decide to deal with it like a big girl, tried repeatedly to psych myself out about the "second best dress"
months go buy... Dress should arrive between September and the first week of December at the latest. So mid September I contact the boutique that I ordered my dress from and set an appointment for me and my girls to go in and get sized for their dresses and get them paid, 4-6 months comes quick when you're expecting a dress. Specifically stated that regardless of bridesmaid #4 placing her order the 3 maids that were there with me that day MUST have their dresses ordered ASAP. I even stated that I didn't care if The last dress came from a different dye lot number, pft.
So here we are 2 weeks into December I haven't heard anything, weird, so I call the bridal store I ordered from to be told "I don't have authority to talk to you about your dress ill have a manager call you on Monday" Monday comes and goes...twice, than to receive a call from the Manager to tell me, "your dress order was canceled and we didn't know," WHAT?! How can you NOT know an order YOU placed was canceled?!
Today, I sympathize with all bride to bes who are called Bride-zillas, it's really not our fault... And when you're told there's nothing that can be done now except to rush order the "second best" dress which would make it here just in time for your wedding... Ugh.
I'm off now to find a knock off of my perfect dress, dress number one, with a short six months left before the wedding in hopes it'll make it here on time.

Spotted : To my amazing cousin who is the best friend a girl could ever have. Tonight while Christmas shopping at Walmart and stressing about money ( who doesnt at Christmas) My cousin grabs a bunch of items from my cart and pays for them. I was stunned.

SPOTTED: To the regular that comes in every morning to the Walker Road McDonald's. After giving you your food, you tried handing me a $100 bill. I kindly declined it, but you wouldn't take no for an answer and had me get my manager. After she finally accepted it, you wanted the early morning staff to split it fairly. We did just that. It was the nicest thing a stranger has done for me. As a thank you for your kind gesture, I will be paying for your meal next time you come in!

Spotted : This is for you Greek pita. I use to love your place and order from you guys all the time and for the past year or so the food is not as good as it use to be and the people there are rude specially the guy who answers the phone. I've never been treated like that before specially by someone that you would think wants your business. You guys use the be friendly and cheerful on the phone and it's not like that at all I feel like I was bothering you with me ordering so after the third time you were being rude I canceled my order and I will never order from you guys again. Very disappointing your food isn't as good as it once.
