Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Spotted : I am actually from the States, but I would like to give a shout out to all the young Windsor Residents who surrounded us at the Red Wing/ Maple Leaf Alumni Game at Comerica Park tonight (Section 329) We had a great time with you all. Everyone was fun loving and respectful. It is great to see the youth love their team and smack talk in a fun way with us.
From, The Wings fans that are just about as old as the Alumni :-)
Spotted : I just wanted to thank our waitress @ Jose 's bar grill. You had an exceptionally great personality. You were patient & kind. Made me a happy especially having my mother who is handicap with us. You made our experience that much better. Hope you have great night. Keep smiling.
I'd like to share this photoshopped image of Caesars Windsor bringing in 2014! Thanks & Happy New Year!
Spotted : Thank you to the vet cabbie who unknowingly bought a stolen gps (mine) and upon charging it, saw my address, and returned it!!!! Happy new year to you and thank you!!!
Saw a black 2 door wrangler in Tecumseh today with a New Zealand decal on the side (couldn't see if it was just the fern leaf or an All Blacks logo). I too drive a Jeep and I went to NZ and loved it. If you see this, ask these folks who run this who I am and gimmie a shout. I'd like to meet ya. And if you happen to be a single woman that'd be great too . Either way though. Cheers everybody Happy New Year!
Be careful to anyone selling a phone or anything on kijiji. My brother was selling his phone and a guy told him he was interested and wanted to meet at Firestone on Ouellette. The guy was playing around with the phone and my brother turned his back to get the charger and the guy just ran off into the alley with it. Anyone with information on a stolen HTC One around that area, comment here. Stay safe
Spotted : To whoever put 10$ in a pair of Spider-man slippers at winners in the east end , thank you ! You just made my son super happy to be getting a cool pair if slippers !
This year was really crappy for us financially. Our awesome children understood this. My future hubby's parents drove all the way down here to make sure they had a couple gifts to open Christmas morning and provide gas so we could see his siblings this year during the holiday season.
As we were leaving to take the 6 hour drive we had almost 3 dollars to our name. We saw our building manager outside and told him we were leaving for a few days. We introduced him to his parents and chatted for a few minutes then went our separate ways. We cleaned off the truck and he went on to continue to shovel and salt. Just as we started to pull out our manager came running over and handed us a preloaded tim hortons card. He said " there is probably 21 dollars left and I want you to take it".
John at Sonnet Apartments you have been spotted for your caring, generous and selfless act of kindness. That was such a blessing. We were able to stop and get something hot to drink on the way up and the way back. We wish you a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year.
