Thank you to our firemen

I wanted to extend thanks to the firemen over at fire station #2 on Milloy, along with all fire fighters for that matter. Yesterday my 2 year old son and I brought in some donated toys for sparkys toy drive. While we were there the firemen brought my son to look at the trucks, let him sit in the driver seat and even turn on the lights. The smile on my son's face was priceless and I'm so happy I was able to capture the moment. I want to say what you do for the community does not go unnoticed and thank you to those who have worked hard to get sparkys toy drive completed so every family can enjoy Christmas!

Christmas Spirit

Thank you to the generous white van at Starbucks in LaSalle who paid for my order. Christmas Spirit I paid it forward and treated the car behind me. Thanks for making my crazy day slow down for a moment to be thankful.

Amazing nurse

I'd like to acknowledge nurse Sarah at MET that worked last night Dec 20th around 6pm on her amazing work. My mom wad admitted for her breathing issues. She helped my mom out so much. There are not many angels like you. Thank you so much for everything that you did for my mom ! Know that your effort and dedication won't go unnoticed ❤

Becky at Canpar

I ordered a package off Amazon and it was being delivered to my house yesterday by Canpar Courier, around 1pm I looked outside and noticed a failed delivery notice on my door even though I had been home all day. I called Canpar extremely irritated and reached Becky who was honestly wonderful! She went way above and beyond to make sure I recieved my package that day after the driver refused to bring my package back. Going as far as offering to drop it off to me after she was done work (since I don't drive and Canpar is on the other end of the city) or keep the office open late so my fiance could pick it up after he was done work!!! I am so so thankful for Becky and the fact that when I called (not being very friendly) she gave nothing but kindness and compassion back.

Christmas Angel

Let me tell you about my Christmas Angel this year Lisa Orsi from St Clair College , Due to a health issue I could not continue as a full time student and had to drop to a part time, Lisa was the most compassionate person I ever met, she went beyond her duty and fought for me,and helped set up my new courses.
And today as I start my new journey toward healing , it warms my heart to know that there's angels walking among us every day.
Thank you Lisa for being you, Marry Christmas to you and to all !!!

Found Wallet

I found a women's wallet at the Tim Hortons on Amy Croft (near Manning & the expressway). I handed it in to a staff member. It was left on the counter.

Good Samaritan

Was in line at the Tim Hortons on University Ave earlier today. In front of me was an on duty OPP officer, and there were people behind me as well. This is to highlight the kind act made by the man who was behind me. The OPP officer went to order and you kindly and quietly walked up to the counter behind the officer and whispered discretely to the Tim Hortons employee that you were going to pay for the officer's order. I've had a pretty bad few weeks in Windsor lately and seeing that kind act made my day and made my week. It is people like you that give me hope for the town.

Stolen Item

On Dec 18th between the hours of 5:30pm-9:30pm there was a break and enter at a home in the South Windsor area. There were many items stolen such as an iPad mini with a grey otter box case, a black 17 Acer laptop, as well as men's jewelry. More importantly, there was a very sentimental, Toronto Maples Jersey that was taken from this home. It is very distinctive, and unique. It has 20-25 different Leafs players autographs from over the years. A picture attached shows the Jersey and 3 of the autographs on the front: James Reimer (on the leaf crest), Tyler Bozak and James van Reimsdyk.

We are asking for the public's help to keep an eye out for the whereabouts of the Jersey. If you see any sign of the Jersey being posted for sale on any Windsor Buy & Sell groups, Kijiji, etc please message on this post so we can get in contact with you. A generous cash reward will be given if information leads to the jersey.

Police have been notified and a report has been made as well as pawn shops.

Thank you.
