People Helping people. Here in Windsor we have a mom by the name of heather Chauvin who has been recently diagnosed with diffuse large B- cell lymphoma. Heather is known around town for helping many parents and children through challenging times to find spirituality and peace within their lives. I think its time we pay it forward to heather during her and her families difficult time. Please help
At the Spitfire's game last night (January 9th) a very nice lady caught a T-shirt they were throwing and turned around and gave it to one of the three 12 year old boys I brought to the game. At the end of the game she told me how nice it was to see boys be polite and respectful as in previous game the kids that would sit behind her were not this way! She said thanks for doing such a great job with them! Although I didn't think they were being all that great, thank you very much for the compliment it meant a lot! You have been spotted!
From: A proud single mom of 4 boys!
Mayor Eddie Francis, who was been the mayor for the last 11 years. So much accomplished and you will be missed.

Buy local New Year s resolution could put $78 million back into Windsor-Essex
If every household in Windsor and Essex County spent 10 per cent of their weekly grocery bill on locally made products this year, that could pump an estimated $78 million into the region.
Leamington Stands Strong is asking consumers to make that their New Year s resolution.
If you don t spend local more and more businesses will be forced to close, Katie Omstead, one of the founders of the Leamington Stands Strong buy local movement, said Wednesday.
Leamington Stands Strong started after Heinz shocked the town with plans to close its Leamington plant later this year. The volunteer group is fighting the anticipated negative economic impact with its positive buy local message.
Omstead said the 10 per cent challenge would turn into a $1.5 million weekly investment back into the region based on 150,000 households in Windsor and Essex County. It s not just about Leamington but Windsor-Essex and products made in Chatham-Kent, including Wheatley with its fisheries.

Yesterday 09/ 01/ 2013 while driving to pick up my son from school, this nice gentleman pulled up next to me on Tecumseh rd going west, around 2:10\2:15 near the Serbian Center, (he was driving a white Chrysler 300) pulled up next to me and honked to let me know that I had no brake lights. Just wanted to say you have been SPOTTED, how often do you drive behind yourself, so I had no idea they were both out.
Thank You
The lady driving the light brown mini van, it was very much appreciated.
There is a group on Facebook called Freebies R Us...we all offer and exchange items that would be useful to others. It is a total non-profit pay it forward group. In the last month it has grown by a few hundred members and we have a couple in particular that have really gone above and beyond our expectations. this group has really helped out some less fortunate people in and around our city. You know who you are and you should know that all your contributions are deeply appreciated.
To the very handsome bartender at Mamo Burger (bald head) it was an extremely busy night (Jan 9th about 6:30pm) but you were quick on your toes & great with your service. You didn't serve us but you certainly caught my eye. I'd of gotten your name but it was ridiculously busy.....
Signed
Smitten :)
