Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
So yesterday my boyfriend proposed to me at the Windsor Festival of Lights at the big Christmas bulb. A very nice couple offered to take our picture and I took some of them before it was our turn. It was so cold outside that I didn't look at the pictures but this woman captured our engagement with some very lovely pictures! So if you're seeing this, I just want to say thank you so much for capturing the moment for us the pictures turned out beautiful and we will definitely be framing a few. THANK YOU again!!
To the 1C Windsor Transit Driver on Thursday, December 28th around 5:15pm in the west end on Dorchester, it was a younger male driver with brown hair, if I seen correctly: it was really, really cold when I was walking, and a Transit Windsor bus turned down the street I was on. I was about to cross the street when it turned so I just stopped in my tracks to let the bus continue by. As the driver got near, he slowed down and was asking me if I needed the bus. I shook my head, with no other movement or thanks because I was so cold. I wasn't even at a bus stop, but close to where one used to be. I just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I appreciate it soo much that you even thought to slow down for me.
So on a positive note, thank you, thank you, thank you. You're appreciated!
Thanks to Scott and the crew from Costco Tire Centre for fitting us in and making sure my family and I will be safe on the highway this weekend.
My daughter lost her backpack downtown at the bus stop @ Ouellette & Wyandotte around 7pm Friday. She's hoping someone found it. Thanks!
Shout out to the two good samaritans in the black PT Cruiser at the Dougall Walmart on fri dec 29th at 9pm.
We were parked at the Wal-Mart on Dougall with our three kids (youngest is our 9 month old baby) when our car battery completely died. So cold out tonight! Sitting in the car trying over and over to start it for over 25mins when two angels in disguise came over and offered to help. The one guy said he heard a baby crying and there was no way he couldnt help. So standing out in the snow freezing themselves they had to try to pull their car up in between a spot to get close enough, then run in with my husband to buy longer booster cables because the first ones would reach, and then try a few times before it worked. I don't know how to thank you enough! If wasn't for you don't know how long we would have waited that late at night with 3 tired and cold kids.
When thanked you just smiled and wished us a happy New year, so easy you think nothing of it. But guys like you are truly angels in disguise. Puts that warmth in you knowing there are such kind hearted people in this world. Thank you so very very much! I hope the new year blesses you with so much.
On another note we were headed home to enjoy a cake together we bought at Wal-Mart, as it is my daughter's 9th birthday so you helping meant so much more just to not end the night stuck.
I want to say thank you to an amazing young lady who works at forever 21. She made my daughter and my family so happy by finding my daughters lululemon gift pouch which contained two gift cards and cash in it. Your good deed did not go unnoticed and I'm lost for words and thank you for being so honest. I wish you the best in life. May god bless you every single day of your life. I will forever be grateful ❤️
Found a pouch with 2 gift cards and a sum of money on the floor in a store at Devonshire Mall. Please comment with what you lost and when and I will reach out to you to return it.
