Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Just wanted to give a thank you to the 3 city workers that helped me dig my car out of the snow when I got stuck this afternoon in west Windsor, even though they were off duty, I appreciate it. City workers are awesome!
To the man at the TD Bank on Lauzon yesterday. My daughter and I were waiting in line and a generous man turned around and gave my daughter $5.
Thank you for being so kind. You have been spotted!!
I want to address this issue, I promised myself I would the next person I saw doing this. LADIES at the UofW, I don't have enough fingers to count how many girls have used the leddy 3rd floor bathroom, and leave without washing their hands. I basically live on this floor, I just encountered a lovely lady walk in, do her thing, and smile at me as I wash my hands and walk away. I have recently taught some Jk's about the importance of hand hygiene...unfortunate how I feel the need to do the same for this age group. Wash you're hands ...please, infection's spread very easily.
Sincerely,
I wash my hands, Do you?
To the woman that gave my grandmother $6 to pay for parking at hotel dieu while I was in the emergency because she did not have change for the meter thank you so much!!!!
Sincerely,
One greatful granddaughter that will definitely be paying it forward!
SHAME, SHAME, SHAME ON YOU!
My Husband is a bus driver and was leaving his bus at home because of the extensive cold weather the bus needed to be plugged in. Well a miserable neighbour called the company to complain. Well neighbour I will tell you something that maybe you do not know it is required by law that a safety check be completed for the safety of the children that includes lights, signs, bars that come out. My husband would get up extra early to do his check and make sure the bus was warm and clean for his kids. But God forbid we would hate to interrupt your beauty sleep. These woman and men who transport your children, grand children to school make no more than minimum wage and put a lot of extra time and care into their jobs but since you are too selfish to even care I hope one of the children on the bus might be one of your grandchildren. My Husband takes pride in what he does and tries to do his very best but now I guess things will have to be different since it is interrupting your sleep. It is unfortunate that because of you the children will suffer. Well I hope you will be very proud of yourself. Next time in church tell God all about it!
I don't make it a habit to frequent McDonalds but I'm early for work I stop in the downtown one for breakfast. Carol who works cash always makes my mornings better, she greets every customer with a smile and is always polite, even when they aren't. I've worked in customer service for years and people like her are harder and harder to come by so I thought she deserved a shoutout.
While checking out at Zehr's, I noticed $60 someone left in the change slot. I called the attendant over and told her to put it aside in case someone comes back to claim it. I was just about done and a man comes up and asks, did you see my $60, I told him the attendant has it. He thanked me and insisted I keep $20. Such a nice story, I had to share.
Some jackass couldn't be bothered to put his or her garbage into the dumpster. Like seriously?
The dumpster is clearly empty and those bags don't look too heavy to lift. This happens all the time in my neighbourhood; this is plain and simple laziness.
Now those bags are going to be ripped open by animals and garbage will blow all over the parking for two weeks before the landlord's staff will get around to cleaning it up.
