Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
I want to thank the kindness of two strangers tonight. I tripped over a stone in the Dollarama (Walker rd) parking lot and fell. A lovely lady stopped her car and ran to my aid, also a kind gentleman leaving the store rushed to my help. He carried my bags to my car and both checked to ensure I was ok before they left me. I am bruised, sore and embarrassed, but so grateful for the kindness of strangers .
Thanks to the person who called an ambulance for my very ill brother, back in July 2017. This happened on Seminole and Francois street's. My brother escaped from the house where he lived. He was laying on the ground in a parking lot, when you stopped and asked if he needed help. The ambulance came and took him to the hospital. When we finally found him, he had convinced the nurses we were not very nice sisters. My brother was very sick with cancer and had gone off his medications. My darling brother passed away in September 2017. Thank you dear person for calling help. If you're out there, or someone knows who this is, I would like to say I wish you good things!
Sunday, the final day at Sears Windsor, a staff member briefly put her black Panasonic digital camera down on a shelf to help a customer. She turned around and her camera had been stolen.
To whomever stole the camera, can you kindly return it to Devonshire Mall Security or Lost and Found???
The camera held valuable family photos and photos of staff on their last day. Even if you just drop off the memory card in an envelope the employee will ask zero questions.
After getting some groceries at the store, I was coming out the door with my cart, it hit a bump of some sort and the cart tipped hitting my leg and sending groceries all over the place .
To the man who stopped, helped me to pick them up and asked if I was ok. THANK YOU.
I was feeling embarrassed, and having a rough day. Nice to know there is still nice people out there .
to the lady in front of me at Tim Hortons on Chandler who paid for my iced capp. Thank you very much it was a very nice surprise - it has made my day
On Jan. 5, 2018 I passed out while working at Costco. I want to sincerely thank my co workers Rollinda Laframboise (for staying by my side), Kim Renaud (for catching me as I went down) and Gary Couttie. Also, any other co-workers that I failed to mention due to the fact that those are the only voices I remember.
I also want to sincerely thank the lady from the military who stayed by my side and talked to me the whole time I was laying on the floor and nurse Kate who came to check up on me.
I was recently touched by two of our members who asked my co-workers if I was okay. One of them personally coming up to me and saying she was glad that I was okay. your concern was very appreciated.
In the world we live in, it was nice to see that there are caring people still in it.
Thank you all!!
I was driving down Mcdougall just past Tecumseh street (near Kennedy high School). Everyone whose driven in that area knows it's a 40 KM/ H driving zone. Well, I was going on speed limit but the guy behind me was REALLY tailgating me and just seeing from his expression on his face he was irritated with me. I drove to the side and let him pass me and he away he went! As I drove on I sped up just a bit more from my anger, and the car coming against my traffic flashed his lights about 4 times quickly before we passed eachother . Somehow I KNEW that was a warning to slow down. Well thank God for that!! Because as I reached close to the railway track there was a lovely undercover cop, who luckily CAUGHT the impatient driver who was behind me and would have caught me aswell if it wasn't for that other car that warned me. If you're reading this , I truly thank you!! .
Just want to give a shout out to Sam at Master Cleaners and his staff in Windsor, LaSalle and Amherstburg. I called this morning needing some clothes dry cleaned/ pressed and back by Tuesday morning, at first I called the Amherstburg branch and they send out at 4 and get delivery next day at 4, I then called LaSalle and was asked if I could get there within 10 minutes they could get it back to me but living in Amherstburg I wouldn't make it. I called the Ottawa branch and spoke with Sam the owner and he could get these done, after explaining the reason for rush Sam told me if I could get them to him by 11-1200 he would get it done and delivered the same day back to Amherstburg, I spoke with the staff in Amherstburg thanking her and told her I would not be able to pick up this afternoon but would pick up tomorrow morning and she offered to open early if I needed them before 8am. Sam you and your wonderful staff have been spotted thank you so much.
