Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
I was already running late for work this morning but stopped at J& K Variety in Remington Park to get my Lottery ticket (hope I'm the next Lotto Max Winner!! LOL)) when I mentioned to "Harv" (Owner) that I wished he sold windshield wiper fluid because I didn't have any left, my windows were very dirty and I didn't want to drive to the gas station to get some and be more late for work, so he gave me his left over container that still had a about half left in it. THANK YOU HARVEY!! YOU BEEN SPOTTED for your generosity! I've known him for years and he is always so nice to everyone! such a great guy!

This was a while back, and I just found this site now. It was a day we had a tremendous snowfall and I was on my way to pick up my daughter from daycare on McDougal. My car got stuck going into the parking lot. I tried to rock it back and forth to no avail. Cars were driving by me and around me getting annoyed I am sure because I was blocking half the road. A man driving a truck and another stopped and got out of their cars in the middle of all this traffic to help push my car out!! I yelled thank you to them but I don't know if they heard me or not. I have no idea who these two men are but I am so thankful to them for I was panicking thinking I was going to be late picking her up and had no idea how I was going to get my car out.
To all the drivers out there who are willing to take the time and help others in distress during this very snowy winter thank you!!!!
Missing : The already bizarre case of a young woman who disappeared in Halifax a week ago has taken another strange turn after police arrested two of her friends in Harrow with her stolen car.
Halifax police said they fear foul play may be at work in the disappearance of Loretta Saunders, a 26-year-old university student who, in an ironic twist, reportedly just finished a thesis on missing and murdered women.

Shopping at the Superstore on Walker Rd tonight and I was standing in front on the chip aisle I was going to get Tostitos hint of lime and the store sign said 2 for $6.00. As the sign was only in front of this type and I only wanted one of that flavor and a regular kind I asked the store manager that was in the section "is it only hint of lime or can I mix and match? Keep in mind I had my hand on the sign pointing to it. He came over read the sign and ripped it off the display and said "oh no this was last weeks sale not this weeks." I replied back with "then I should still get it for the sale price as I pointed it out" his reply was "oh hell no I am not giving away a free product to you as someone forgot to remove it" I said wait that's not fair I pointed it out. He replied with "oh well and goodbye" I looked at him and said "that's not right you know that" He turned and walked away from me and yelled thank you have a nice day. What a total slap in face Jay Store Manager I saw your name tag you sir are in the wrong industry as customer service is not a priority of yours.
Everyones stories are wonderful, but I wanted to remind everyone that not everyone else sees the site! Its wonderful what people do so make sure to thank them personally as well when you can! Kindness goes a long way :) keep the great stories coming!
Today I was at the gas station on Jefferson when my car stalled. Without asking for any help a kind man and his daughter approached my vehicle. He fixed a wire that was loose on the battery and managed to get the car started. I would like to thank that man for helping me.
