Clipped the back end of a newer white minivan (dodge caravan I think). They lost a chunk of their back bumper but left the scene because they blew a red light causing the accident. My car incurred heavy damage and needs immediate repair. Hoping someone can help me find out who this was. Happened around 10:15-10:30pm Saturday, January 20th, 2018 at the intersection of California and University.
I got a 4 cm gash in my tire turning left onto EC Row from Banwell on Jan 19 at 4:30 pm. The tow truck driver said I was the 4th car with a flat because of debris from an earlier accident that wasn't properly cleaned up. Did anyone else get a flat there? Or have info on when the original accident occurred? I know one driver waited 3+ hrs for a tow. I tried contacting 311 or non emergency police to let them know but no answer. I'd like to know why it wasn't properly cleaned up since I had to replace my tire.
I would like to thank two gentlemen who came to my assistance today at the Zehr's - Parkway Mall. I had taken advantage of the fact that wild birdseed and Gatorade was on sale, and that there was no tax (yay!) so I filled up my cart with LOADS of the stuff - only to find that when I was nearing the checkouts my cart wheels suddenly locked up. One man kindly dragged the heavy cart to the checkout for me; and another chap left his own cart at the checkout, went and got me a new cart, and then proceeded to lift the heavy items into the new cart. You are both a star!!
Recently, I was at the E.R. at WRH- Ouellette Campus; I can't remember when the waiting area was so crowded.
Some people were grumbling and complaining, demanding to get in sooner, leaving, etc. I couldn't help but think that while my problem was serious enough that I was sent from Urgent Care to the hospital I at least wasn't in distress.
As I, with many other people waited, we could hear the announcments of Code blue, code stoke, over and over. There were people that were violent, others who were argumentive who had to be separated. There was someone who wanted to leave unless she could see the doctor within the next hour. Security as well as a nurse told her that they had several accidents, a lot of really sick people and patiently asked her to stay. They told her that if she wanted to leave, it was her right but, she had to sign a release without being seen form.
At one point before a serious accident was brought in, a nurse inquired if she had enough time to go to the bathroom.
My thanks to all those working at E.R. who work so hard, take abuse, laugh and cry and are just as frustrated as patients and families. Thank you to the security folks, clerks who register and direct people, cleaning staff who were constantly being paged to clean up, porters who brought people for tests, and rooms upon admission, those technicians who draw blood, take xrays, ultra sound and CT scans, nursing staff and the doctors. I hope I didn't miss anyone. They work long hours, many times without breaks.
Your dedication is to be admired.
I'd like to say thank you to the gentleman in the F150 Grey Truck for his random act of kindness. Friday Jan19th I was at a Tim Horton's drive though next to Howard Johnson Hotel on Ouellette . When I came up to the drive through window to pick up my coffee, the lady told me "the gentleman before you paid for your coffee". You really made my day!! and I would like to thank you so much whoever you are :)
We were both stopped at the light on Manning. I was lost in thought when I noticed this good-looking man waving at me. We talked about this cold weather through body language. It was a good laugh. Thank you!
Hope to see you around!
Thank you to the gentleman in the black truck who chased after a silver SUV after it smashed into a gold Sebring and left the scene at the corner of Ontario and Lincoln on Jan. 18/ 18, at 3:25 pm. Thank you also for coming back to talk with me and verify that I was not at fault and the silver Lincoln SUV ran the 4 way stop.
However I did not get your name or phone number. If you read this, I would like to talk with you about doing up a statement for the Police. The SUV driver insisted I was at fault. He had a suspended license and could not produce insurance. Your kindness in helping me was appreciated more than you know.
I would also like to send a shout out to the gentleman who came running from his construction job to ensure I was okay. And to the residents who cleaned up the debris left on the road from the crash, your kindness did not go unnoticed. Thank you to all!
In 2014 a friend of mine purchased a thick cotton dress similar to the dress (just a dark green colour) in the picture here from a handmade street market near Erie and Ouellette. She gifted the dress to me and it was one of my most cherished dresses. Over the years I've moved multiple times and the dress was misplaced along the way. Last March my friend passed away at the age of 20 and I was devastated when I realized I no longer had the dress.
I am looking for any and all information on this market. If anybody knows what I'm talking about or knows who was running it, please leave a comment and I will personally message you or comment back. I would really like to purchase another dress, even if it is not exactly the same.
