To the jerk that smashed in my car window and stole my purse Monday night in the parking lot of St. Gabe's school I can only hope that you will get yours. Also, I hope you cut yourself on some of the glass from my window. Not that you care but it'll cost over $2000 to repair the damage you caused and for what? $25 and a couple gift cards?? Oh and some Tylenol! I found my purse. Thank you for leaving most of my stuff in it.
I also want to thank the wonderful lady that found my cheque book in Central Park while walking her dogs and called me to return it. I can't thank you enough.
Also, to a person unknown who dropped my wallet off at my house with all my ID and pictures of my kids etc. I cannot put into words how happy I was. Your kind note brought tears to my eyes and YES I AM ALRIGHT!

Thank you to the lady that waited on my daughter and myself at Arbys on Howard today. She has waited on me twice in the last few weeks and so professional courteous and just so nice . She's wearing a neon green shirt under her uniform so if you see her today tell her thank you and she s been spotted!

I own a VERY small restaurant in Cedar Springs (just outside Blenheim). We specialize in Home made, non-processed Comfort & Soul Food. When I started this business 3 years ago I was only making and selling Frozen Foods that I would deliver to Single Seniors or Couples, or Busy Families who wanted to eat well but didn't have the time or ability to be able to do the work. After the 1st 2 years I thought I had a large enough customer base (we deliver in a 100 km radius- even to Windsor) to open in a retail location so that I would have access to a kitchen more than one day a week...So we took the last $10K we had saved and opened Comfort & Soul Restaurant & Catering.

April 1st would be our 1 year Anniversary which is very exciting, BUT, then the WINTER kicked in and Kicked our butts, we aren't going to make it if we don't increase our sales over the next 2 weeks to cover getting our equipment re-certified for another year...I am NOT asking for Donations, I am asking that you LET US cook for you...

We make entrees that will feed 2 people for $8.50 i.e. Cabbage Rolls, Cabbage ROll Casserole, Chicken 'n Dumplins, Potato Bacon, Leek & Cheddar Soup, Mac & Cheese, Southern Fried Chicken, SOuthern Style Fish and SOooo much more. Family sizes are available customized to the size of your family. We can take eTransfers as payment if you don't want to go to the bank. We are very flexible.

We have always tried to "Pay it Forward", if someone needs food and can't pay for it, we won't let them go hungry if we can possibly help! During Holidays if we hear of families that need a Meal, that they would not normally have, to help them celebrate like everyone else. We donate Gift Certificates to several Charities and Dog/ Animal Rescues for fund raising auctions... I just want the chance to continue to pay it forward out of the restaurant!! Can we WORK for you this week and help feed your family and make your life a bit easier? Please.

I also want to say that I have received a LOT of critical comments saying I should be ashamed to ASK to be able to cook for people. BUT, even if I have to sacrifice my pride,I will do whatever it takes to TRY to stay open, and, paying it forward.

April 14 2014, embarks the 1 year Heart transplant anniversary for lakeshores, 2 year old little Gracie Nightingale!!! A rare happening, especially in this area! A journey with many ups and downs! Gracie is such a strong and courageous little girl....with a heart of gold ;-) Keep Gracie in your prayers....although she has received her new heart and life saving organ, little battles arise with heart recipients & lt;3 Also, please keep Gracie's heart donor in your thoughts and prayers! What an amazing gift and unselfish decision to allow their child to pass on a part of them in order to save multiple lives! As Gracie and her family were rejoicing with the news that a heart has arrived (most heart transplant patience are on a long and rough waiting list) the family of the child who lost their life, were in pain and mourning their loss.

To the stranger who stopped and stood up for my daughter when it looked like she was getting yelled at in the mall parking lot. Someone decided to keep driving when she was walking across the crossway. He decided to come out of his car and start yelling at her as he after almost hitting her with his car. You pointed out to the gentlemen calmly stating it was a crossway for pedestrians to walk. It was her right of way and he should say he is sorry and be on his way. My daughter wants to thank you again and I also want to send my well wishes for taking the time to help someone you don't even know.
