I went in search of a large quantity of icing for a cupcake fundraiser that our workplace does every year for Breast Cancer Research. Grocery store had about 117 tubs that I tried to purchase. At the checkout I was told you can only buy 20. I was surprised but said can you call the manager please. I wasn't asking for the icing for free or even at a discounted price, I was paying the price on the shelf. After explaining all this to the manager his response was "I said you can buy twenty". I am truly disappointed that exceeding the limit could not be overlooked for a group that is trying to help fund research for breat cancer!! Shameful!
This young man went above and beyond to ensure I was charged the correct price on a produce item I was purchasing. I questioned the price of an item I was buying while going through his check-out and he tried 3 different codes until he found the correct one, even though I assured him it was okay. He stated that he would not feel right if I was overcharged. Thanks Shayn, for taking those couple of seconds to put it right. I left the store with a smile on my face and the feeling that Freshco at Tecumseh & McDougall should be proud of that young man for his good customer skills. I will remain a customer of your store due to this. Also, a pat on the back to the parents who raised such a conscientious and pleasant young man - you did a great job. Keep up the good work Shayn!
P.S. - it wasn't the small amount of money involved, it was the attitude of the person who put it right.
My cat has been missing for two nights. If anyone sees a black Manx (short hair cat with no tail) please contact Karen Kreitzer via Facebook. He has been declawed and has no means of defending himself. It's too cold outside for him and he's accustomed to being an indoor cat. He went missing near Randolph and Grand Marais. His name is Nooby and he's very friendly. Any help would be appreciated.

My car was broken into lastnight! Just thought I would give others the info to double check your stuff! I had locked my doors when I got home from work lastnight, so they either didn't lock properly, or the person picked my lock! A little frightening to open up your car door and see your stuff everywhere! Thankfully nothing valuable was in there, just my CD's, insurance and some receipts, which was thrown everywhere when I opened my door.
Sincerely,
I feel so violated! To whoever did that, Karma will pay a visit my friend!
To the PartSource guys on Tec and Ford you have been spotted. On Friday you went above and beyond to help me out even though you guys were about to close for the day. I would just like to thank the gentlemen that work at PartSource for taking the time to help me. Anytime that I go to PartSource you are all friendly and willing to go the extra step for your customers.
I was having dinner downtown windsor this evening. We were almost done so I used my car starter to start the car so it warmed up. There was a gentlemen that was also leaving but he was already outside starting his car and cleaning off the snow. When I walked outside with my wife I noticed my car was cleaned off as well. I'm sure it was the gentlemen siting in the table next to us. Or whomever did this, thank you. That was seriously such a nice gesture.
Somebody goes to drive thru you take the order an say is this right, once you say yes then ask is that what's on the screen! Test first thing in the morning come on that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard you are going to lose business if you can't take a simple order! 2 coffees black Simple!
My daughter was with her dad at a local Canadian Tire and picked up some garbage on the floor. A man spotted this and praised her. As they were getting ready to back out of the parking spot the man knock on the car window and asked for my daughter. He opened the back door and handed her a note pad and pen, thanking her for being a good girl. She is so proud of herself and confident now she cleans all over the place. Thank you for showing a 5 year old she can make a difference in this world!!
