Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
On March 13th I was part of a funeral procession going past Met Hospital. To the Abortion protestors the people in those cars had just lost a beloved family member. Would it be to much that you put down your signs for 3 minutes as a show of respect to these families. Some may be your supporters, Some may respect your right to protest but none deserve that type of disrespect when bringing their family members to there final resting place. You are no better then the haters of Westboro Baptist Church.
They're sending the crooked energy plan people out in droves, using the new 'peak-time charges' as a way to lure you into their web. For all the people who don't want to be bothered, and for those concerned with family getting swindled, please remember that simply saying "I am not the homeowner, I rent." sends them moving onto the next house faster than Speedy Gonzalez. Ariba!
Friday night, a few girlfriends and I went out for dinner at Mamo Burger (by the way it's amazing).
Our waitress was fabulous. She had an allergic reaction to something while at work and her eye was almost completely swollen shut. She toughed it out and continued to work the remainder of her shift with a smile and a bubbly personality. I want her to know that she's been Spotted!! Most people would leave work, but she stuck it out and rocked it!
Next to us was a group of four guys having a boys night out. One of them tapped me on the shoulder and had four credit cards in his hand. He asked for us to pick one card and that would be the lucky guy to pay for their bill. As they were leaving the chosen guy (His name was Al) came over to our table and said "Ladies, I totally believe in Karma so I decided to pay for your bill tonight as well. Just make sure you take care of our waitress." We were shocked! A total stranger just paid for our $100 dinner! Al you have been spotted for not only being a gentleman, but a good samaritan!
We surely paid it forward and tipped our waitress $90; After all, she deserved it!!
on Friday the 7th of March I was in my seat at the Blood Sweat and Tears concert. I was watching the people file in when I spotted a woman running. She called to a woman walking past me and handed her what looked like 2 $5.00 bills. She said that the woman dropped them and she was returning them. To that honest woman I say, you were spotted!
we went through the drive thru at Tim Horton's on tec rd east ( beside Red Lobster) and we asked for a dozen donuts and asked if we can have 3 sprinkle donuts, they said they might have 2 (well every mom knows there will be FIGHTS over sprinkle donuts!!) I think the lady taking our order heard me say they will fight over it! so we ended up just getting a mix dozen and we pulled up to the window and she said this other employee was in the back making them for us cause there for kids!!! to the lady that took time on a fri nite (11:00pm) too make my 3 kids happy in the morning when they will open the box of dounts and see there's 3 SPRINKLED DONUTS!!! thank you so much! you've been spotted!!
I am part of POMBA (Parents Of Multiple Birth) and every year 2 times a year we do a clothing sale we have lots of venders some part of the group others not. a great selection of clothing all sorted by gender and size! Much easier to shop, also only pay once instead of going from table to table and you can even pay using debit!
I just want to give some recognition to all those who donate blood to the Red Cross. My Husband is in his mid 30's and needed a transfusion yesterday. Without these selfless individuals my husband would be very sick. Thank you so much for taking the time to help others. You should be very proud of yourselves, helping so many people.
I just want to give a shout out to Dominic ( I know I spelled your name wrong and I'm sorry). He is one of the Pharmacists at Costco. Thank you ever so much for taking the time and talking to me about my concerns. You see he could have refused because he was off work and noticed me standing there. Instead of ignoring me, he talked with me and offered great advice. He doesn't treat his customers like customers, but makes you feel like a friend who is concerned about your well being. I would recommend anyone to have their meds filled out at the Costco pharmacy.
