Lost wiener dog on Thompson near Wyandotte. Dog is very old and blind please comment if found or has seen this dog. He is brown and grey in the face and his name is Tippy. Thank you
My dad needs some dental work, and a dentist was recommended to me to recommend to him. The dentist is on the East End.
He's formerly a military dentist and is doing the extractions necessary for a very, very reasonable price compared with what many others would charge for the same amount of work.
It's always nice to meet someone to whom the dollar is not the almighty, and from what I've heard he's very good despite being very reasonable.
Just the kind of person you don't often hear about that was nice to find.
Found a kitten behind my apartment building on Wyandotte between Moy and Gladstone and we are hoping to find it's owners because it looks like an indoor cat, pretty sure its a female. She's really pretty so if nobody owns it we need a home for her.
My dad recently had an infection for which he needed antibiotics. When he had a mild reaction to them (although he's never had one before), we had to go to a pharmacy to get a new prescription.
The pharmacist couldn't just change them, and we had to go to a walk in clinic. An "urgent care" center on Huron Church was recommended to us.
It was still open when we got there to see the doctor, but when we got in and got in line an older woman came out from the other side of the counter while the younger receptionist was talking to a pair of women in front of us and said, gesturing toward the door "After you two that's it... we're not letting any more people in".
Now, this place wasn't terribly crowded, and the "open" sign was still on when we got there. The receptionist had told me over the phone when I called just previously to not be long because they "might be closing soon".
That was fine I thought, and we were there within ten minutes.
Why this shrew felt it necessary to tell my dad and I this I have no idea. Is she so inept she can't lock the door or put up an indicator showing that they're no longer open herself?
It seemed to me to be really just a way for her to possibly work out her frustrations, whatever they were. The place wasn't terribly crowded, and I can understand if you want to close, but why not just do that instead of finding a very snarky way to tell us you'd have preferred if we hadn't showed up.
This woman is UN-professional, and quite rude. It really was quite a classless thing to do I thought. There's no other, and no better way to put it.
I run into plenty of very nice people in this city, and occasionally some who go out of their way to be nice to others. I'm looking forward to being able to post that. Actually I have a story like that and I'll be sharing it after this one... this just wasn't that one :)
To whomever lost their engagement ring outside of Chapters/ Starbucks at Devonshire Mall some time before 1 pm on Saturday:
I left your ring with the staff at Chapters. Hope you find your way back to it.
Spotted at Tecumseh Home hardware. Probably buying supplies for this monstrosity.

Yesterday I was at the Super Store on Dougall. While at the self-serve checkout I found that someone had left $40.00 in the bill return. I gave the money to the clerk. Here is my question: How do we know if the money is ever returned to the proper owner and if no one comes back for it, what happens to the money? I don't want praise or a reward, I would just like to know "what happened" to it.
