25 years ago my mother set out on an incredible journey on her own. She opened her own business, even though all odds were against her, being a single woman in business. She has made it work through thick and thin. Always working hard to support her family and going above and beyond for her clients. She has been a pillar in her community for grooming and although hard at times, never gave up. Who likes Telemarketer calls? I despise them, so I thought what can I DO to minimize them. Last week I decided to start answering them and talking in absolute gibberish; once I knew they were marketers. Well you keep them on the phone, wasting their time, as they say WHAT instead of you (because so many speak broken English), they eventually hang up on you and you laugh your butt off, making it a pleasurable experience rather than a pain; that is if you have a sense of humor. Can you imagine, if the majority answered this way, Telemarketers would finally give up! Just thought I would share because honestly, I am still laughing!

Normally I keep work off my Facebook. But not today.
I had a student run into the school saying sir we need your help. So I ran down the street to help out. I get there and I see a group of kids surrounding a elderly lady. Here is where it gets good. She had fallen down and they were taking care of her. She was frozen cold and couldn't speak English,they had taken their coats off and piled them on her to keep her warm. And stayed by her side until ambulance arrived. Sometimes teens just need an opportunity to prove their hearts. Go Herman Griffins.

Wonderful day yesterday. Went walking into the park. Spotted deers close to the trail. A group of walkers near and far; we froze our walk in this wonderous sight. Then came people who were loud and with bags of food for the deer. The lady flicked her lit cigarette to get closer to them. I went directly behind her and butted out her cigarette without her giving notice or care. The group seemed intoxicated or just haven't been in any vicinity of nature in many a year. To those who
came to feed the deer, maybe just start honoring it first.

To the group of guys tailgating in the parking garage (near the Windsor Bus Depot) I believe it was the 4th floor....You were all behind a huge black truck... it wasn't even 10am and I was leaving class...It gave me quite the laugh when you offered me a beer...had it not of been 10am and I had a busy day ahead I'd of loved to join. I'm sure you gave a few others a good laugh & not just myself as its a pretty busy parking garage. Cheers guys!

In a city with a high unemployment rate, they call me lucky. I work forty hours a week, can't afford daycare because I slip through the cracks. Trying to make better for me and my kids. I went to school, graduated but everyday seems like a fight. I learn quick, I am smart, I pretty much have the ability to fit in at any job. But can't get anywhere. In a minimum wage world, I am tired of being working poor. Where is the better life? For those who want to fight for it?
