Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
My aunt had taken me to Tim Hortons (Remington Park) drive-through to get some lunch after leaving our nail appointment. We drive up through the parking lot to the opening of the drive-through and a lady in a little red car was pulling in towards us off of busy howard avenue. My aunt stopped her mini van and waved the lady into the line in front of us. When I got to the window to pay for my $13.00 lunch order for my husband, son and I, the Tim Hortons worker let me know the lady ahead of us in the little red car payed for my order. We tried to spot her after we left the drive-through to thank her but she was already gone. I would love to thank you for your beautiful soul and the kindness of your heart and I hope that your kindness is returned to you many times over!!! Thank you for showing me there really are still wonderful people out there! Have a very blessed day.
I want to give a heartfelt thank you to the silver pick up truck, 2 dr, with green monster energy decals, who saw our funeral procession leaving Most Precious Blood Church on Tecumseh road this past Tuesday February 20th at approximately 11:15 am in the pouring ugly rainy weather. People were not stopping to let everyone out, so this guy pulled across both of the westbound lanes and "helped" hold traffic back until we all got out and in line. It was my first time in a procession and I have to say, there are a LOT of people who need to be educated in what the proper etiquette is for a funeral procession. This guy definitely did not have to do that, and he was not a part of our funeral or anyone that we knew, but THANK YOU...from myself and the family (who were just in awe when I told them!)
Local young band volunteer their time in fundraisers in the Windsor area and have helped raised thousands of dollars for local charities and events in our community. They have recently performed in the Rock for Dimes Windsor 2018 Battle of the Bands, a March of Dimes Canada event, and won the competition!
Monday morning at 6am the phone rang and woke me up out of a sound sleep. A lady told me that a purchase was made on e bay for 300 dollars. She told me it raised a red flag and did not allow the transaction to be completed. I had trouble understanding her indian accent and she became frustrated with me and hung up. I did contact my credit card provider, they told me that this was the latest scam going around in order to retrieve your credit card information. I stayed in bed, so my card information remained safe.
Do not fall for this scam BE AWARE!!!
To the woman in Freshco today who threw a temper tantrum while the cashier sent someone to check a price on an item that scanned wrong, shame on you!
While the .29 cents is not a big deal to you, you are not in my shoes right now! What you dont know is those few groceries I had in my cart were all carefully calculated with the little bit of money I had. What you dont know is I am desperately trying to not lose my house, my car and keep food on the table for my kids. What you dont know is I havent been sleeping at night, Ive been trying to hide my worries from my children and trying to just keep our heads above water.
What you didnt know is my entire life! I am sorry that it inconvenienced you but yelling at me, throwing your groceries around and telling me how pathetic I am was uncalled for. Thank you for making me feel like a worse parent than I already do. I hope your hours are never cut at work or you ever fall on hard times!
