I was shopping with my children and picking up some groceries and I am on a tight budget so I Had to be very careful how much I spent. As I was walking to the till I was doing a rough count in my head of all the items in the cart. I had realized I would not have enough for this PJ I was getting my daughter. It was 12 dollars but I just couldn't justify it right at that moment. I walked back to where the PJs were, I stopped and looked at my daughter who is 7. I told her that we would have to put this back this time but I promise I will buy it for her next payday. Even as young as she is she understood and that's why I love her dearly. She took the PJs and whispered to me, "I am going to put them in the back of the rack so maybe no one else will buy them. I looked in her eyes and I almost started to tear up but didn't I had to remain strong. I started to walk away and this lady called out for me. I heard excuse me, and I turned around. A lady was holding the PJ's my daughter had put back on the rack. I am sorry I overheard your conversation and I want to ask if you are ok If I gave you money to buy these for your beautiful young lady of a daughter. My face turned red and I was shocked surprised and embarrassed a little. I said that's ok I was just going to buy them next time because I am on a tight budget. The lady looked at me and smiled saying We have all been there. I am just asking to help because I can and if you let me I will. I said Sure and smiled back while wiping a tear from my face. This lady gave my daughter the PJs and smiled, and reached into her purse. She pulled out 80 dollars and handed it to me. I hope this helps she said. Now while I'm typing this to you the tears won't stop falling and I'm so emotional at the moment I hope this whole story makes sense. God bless you to the lady in Wal-Mart for what you did. Not only did you help a single mother in need, but you also made my little girl so happy. I don't think I can thank you enough.
Once I am back on my feet which will be soon, I promise to pay it forward.
