Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
As an ex citizen of Windsor that now lives in Kitchener, I came to visit Windsor for the 50th Anniversary of St. Clair College. I wanted to spot Justine for going above the call of duty after I was having a dispute with my $99.99 hotel rate I booked online and the residence rate was $69.95. She called Booking.com to see if they would fix the rate and they wouldn't. So she booked a room for me for the $69.95 rate and I was able to cancel my reservation with Booking.com and was able to have not only an amazing time while visiting Windsor but also I was able to meet some amazing people in the city.
Also, to the people that raised the flag for the 125th Birthday of the City of Windsor, all of the organizers and to all the people I met during the walk, thank you for being so kind to me especially Karen and Innocent. Also, to all the organizers, staff, Firefighters, and Police Officers that were there, you were all so kind to me and I appreciate it. Also, to officer Wren Dorsant, the new diversity officer of the city, it was such a pleasure meeting you and thank you for taking a picture with me. It was very much appreciated. Furthermore, to the police officer driving vehicle P6102 on Saturday morning around 9 a.m., I witnessed you had an amazing interaction with a young boy with his mother and you turned on the lights and explained how police car sirens are noisy. You also gave him a high five as well before you drove on your regular patrol. I made sure to tell the other Auxiliary officers how amazing your interaction has been with all citizens of the City of Windsor. Thank you for respecting all people including our diverse population.
To the Windsor Public Library staff, thank you for allowing me to cut a Captain America character out of a comic book so I was able to make a button from it. I love buttons so much! :).
To all the Transit Windsor employees who were really kind to me after the machines didn't accept my valid Day Passes, thank you for allowing me to just show my Day Pass and allow me to board without delaying other customers. Also, your punctuality has improved dramatically and also your customer service and attitudes have improved dramatically too. Also, to the 5 Dominion Transit Operator that gave a courtesy stop on a Friday afternoon to a guy with crutches right at his home so he didn't have to walk from a far bus stop, you have been spotted too. Also, thank you to all the bus drivers that took the time to chat with me too as I returned to Windsor for a visit.
To the kind server on Friday night at Artist Cafe when I went out with my friend for dinner and the two ladies sitting at the table beside me for chatting with us, we really appreciate it and the service was amazing at Ceasars Windsor.
To the staff who hosted the 50th Anniversary event at the SCCA and the Windsor Symphony Orchestra, you all did an amazing job and keep up the amazing work. To Diane, Laiman, Roger, Veronique, Justin, and Miranda, you were all awesome as well. Keep up the amazing work!
To the people that organized Khalsa day at the riverfront, the event was so amazing and thank you for the non-alcoholic beverages you were giving to random citizens passing by. This was really amazing and shows the true character and spirit of the City of Windsor and all of its citizens regards of who they are or where they come from.
To anyone else I may have missed and I interacted with, thank you for all being so awesome and kind! I had a blast during my weekend in the City of Windsor.
I have never felt more Canadian until I came to the City of Windsor so thank you all for your amazing work! :). Also I am proud to be Canadian as I am born in Canada!
From the guy that loves Windsor!
P,S. I apologize to the people lining up to take the Greyhound home, I apologize for cutting in line as I wasn't sure whether the other group was lining up for a different bus in the same parking lot on the left side of the lot and there was only one bus on the right side of the lot which I asked the lady at the Transit Terminal. My sincere apologizes on that.
