Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
This past Father's Day, I was given the opportunity to observe the quick and caring actions of one of the community's heroes. There was a three car accident at Tecumseh Rd and Central Avenue which appeared to be quite serious. During the initial seconds of the collision, a young man in a red Dodge Ram pickup pulled up to the scene and blocked off the area with his truck. I learned he was a volunteer firefighter from Essex. His quick actions and caring attitude very quickly eased the fears of the two young children inside the car. He was quick to check everyone over to ensure everyone was ok and then came back to the young children (toddlers) and again checked to ensure they were ok. He talked to them and even got the little girl to laugh. It was heart warming that this young gentlemen who had his own family in his truck stopped to help others in need. As Windsor Fire arrived to the scene, he provided them with information on all involved and as fast as he pulled up to the accident he vanished. I never got a chance to say thank you to him for all that he and his fellow emergency workers do. So I want to give a public shout out to the Firefighter with the red Dodge pickup (nice truck by the way :) )from the Essex Fire Department for his quick and caring actions. We are blessed to have people like you serving in our communities. God Bless You and Keep You Safe!
